The eligibility criteria for KEAM 2024 stipulate that Indian candidates must be above 17 years of age for admission.
Eligibility criteria based on age and nationality are as follows:
Candidates are eligible to apply if they are 17 years old on or before December 31, 2024. There is no upper age limit for KEAM 2024, but candidates must be at least 17 years old to sit for the exam. No exceptions or relaxations are made regarding the minimum age requirement. Candidates must be permanent residents of India and/or Indian nationals. KEAM 2024 also permits Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) candidates to apply.
Eligibility for Engineering, Pharmacy, Medicine, and Allied Sciences courses:
Candidates must have passed the 12th grade from the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or an equivalent qualification from any recognized board. A minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology or Computer Science is required. Candidates applying for programs such as BTech (Food Engg.), BTech (Dairy Science & Technology), and BTech (Ag. Engg.) must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and an aggregate of 50% in Physics and Chemistry. Candidates with an aggregate of 45% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry combined are eligible for admission under the Management Quota in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges/Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges.
Eligibility for B.Architecture:
Candidates must have passed the 12th grade or an equivalent examination from the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or any recognized board, with a minimum aggregate of 50% in each subject and compulsory subjects of mathematics, chemistry, and physics. Candidates with a 10+3 diploma in any stream with Mathematics as a compulsory subject are also eligible to apply for KEAM 2024. Candidates must possess a valid NATA 2024 scorecard and must qualify for NATA on or before June 30, 2024, to be considered eligible applicants for KEAM.
Eligibility for B. Pharm:
Candidates must have passed the 12th grade examination with 50% in Biology or Mathematics and a total aggregate of 50% (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics).
Eligibility for MBBS, BDS, and BSMS courses:
Candidates must have passed the 12th grade examination or an equivalent with 50% in biology/biotechnology and a total aggregate of 50% (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) to apply for KEAM. Candidates must also possess a valid NEET 2024 scorecard.
Note: Candidates from socio-economically backward classes receive a relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks requirement for the qualifying 12th grade examination. Therefore, they must have a minimum of 45% marks in Biology/Mathematics and an aggregate of 45% in Biology/Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics to apply for KEAM 2024.
