IISER 2024 Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must fulfill the fundamental eligibility criteria to participate in the entrance examination; otherwise, their candidacy will be nullified. Here are some fundamental IISER 2024 eligibility criteria:
For KVPY and SCB:
- Candidates must be Indian Nationals or hold Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) status.
- Applicants must have passed the higher secondary examination from a recognized state or national board.
- For the KVPY channel, candidates must possess a valid fellowship and meet the specified cutoff marks.
- For the JEE channel, candidates must have cleared the JEE Advanced examination and secured a rank within the top 10,000.
- For the SCB channel, candidates must have successfully completed higher secondary examinations with a science stream.
- Under the SCB channel, candidates from reserved categories must achieve a minimum aggregate mark of 55%, while a 5% relaxation is provided to candidates from OBC-NC and PWD categories.
For Admissions Through JEE Advanced Scores:
- Candidates must have appeared for the current year’s JEE Advanced Examination.
- General category candidates must secure a rank equal to or below 15,000 in the JEE Advanced Common Rank List.
- Candidates from SC/ST/OBC categories must secure a rank equal to or below 15,000 in their respective category’s JEE Advanced Rank List.
- General category candidates must attain a minimum aggregate mark of 60% in their 10+2 Examinations.
- OBC/SC/ST candidates must achieve a minimum of 55% marks in their 10+2 Examinations.
