For MBA and Executive MBA programs, candidates need to qualify in CAT, XAT, GMAT, GATE, NMAT, or X-GMT exams, followed by a writing ability test (WAT) and group discussion/personal interview (GD/PI) conducted by XUB, Bhubaneshwar. Admission to M.Tech programs is solely based on a valid GATE score, while for Ph.D. programs, candidates must clear the Xavier Research Aptitude Test (X-RAT) conducted by XUB, followed by an interview. Alternatively, candidates who have cleared equivalent national or state-level examinations are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility (MBA Programs):
- Possess a bachelor’s degree of at least three years duration, with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- Applicants expecting to complete their final degree examinations by June 15, 2023, are also eligible to apply.
- Admission offers for such candidates will be provisional and will be revoked if they fail to fulfill all degree requirements before June 15, 2023.
- Candidates should have appeared in CAT 2023, XAT 2024, or GMAT (taken between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2023) exams.
- Must have achieved the minimum prescribed sectional and total scores to qualify for the interview stage of the admission process.
- NMAT by GMAC 2023 scores are accepted for MBA-HRM, MBA-RM, MBA-SM, and MBA-UMG programs.
- Work experience is not mandatory for MBA programs.
- Relevant work experience post-graduation will be advantageous.
- For the Executive MBA Program, candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant work experience post-graduation.1111111
EMBA- BM/ MBA- HRM/ MBA-RM/ MBA-SM/ MBA -UMG
Bachelor’s degree of minimum three-year duration (or equivalent) in any discipline, from a recognized University, with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
MBA – Business Analytics: For admission to MBA- Business Analytics, UG, and/or PG Degree in any discipline containing at least two core papers on Mathematics and/or Statistics with at least 55% marks in aggregate).
EMBA-BM: Candidates are required to have an experience of 3 years in an executive capacity for admission to MBA-BM Admission. Self Employed candidates should have a minimum experience of 5 years after obtaining the qualifying degree.
MBA – Business Management: For admission to MBA- Business Management, a Bachelor’s degree of minimum three-year duration (or equivalent) in any discipline, from a recognized University, with at least 55% marks in aggregate. Selection Criteria:
Admission will be granted on the basis of a valid score in XAT/ CAT/ GMAT/ X-GMAT. Shortlisted candidates will be further assessed on the basis of Group Discussion, Writing Ability tests, and Personal Interviews in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, or Mumbai.
The final selection will be granted on the basis candidate’s performance in XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMT, GD, Writing Ability Test, & Personal Interview, and will take into account the past academic record and relevant work experience.

Shortlist
Candidates will be selected for the GD-WAT-PI round based on their sectional and overall scores in the entrance exam, following the announcement of the exam results. The Institute/University determines the section-wise and total cut-off marks for shortlisting candidates to participate in the Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview. Additionally, separate cut-off marks may be applied to the XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMT/NMAT scores for candidates domiciled in the state of Odisha.
Personal Interview Round
XIM University will conduct the admission process for shortlisted candidates in February and March 2024. Following the shortlisting process, GD-WAT-PI sessions will be conducted in various cities to select eligible students for the program. These sessions will take place in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Candidates are responsible for covering their own travel expenses to attend the interview sessions.
Final Admission Offer
The ultimate selection criteria include factors such as academic background, entrance exam scores, performance in the interview round, and work experience, among others. Candidates can expect to receive the final admission offer in the first week of April 2024. The academic session is scheduled to commence in mid-June 2024.

BBM (Hons), B.Com: Candidates must have completed Class 12 in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. Those awaiting results for Class 12 can also apply for admission.

B.Sc- Mass Communication (Hons.): For B.Sc (Hons.) Mass Communication Admissions, Xavier University Bhubaneswar will conduct an aptitude test/Statement of Purpose. Final selection will be based on:

Scholarships:
- SC/ST/Economically Backward/Minority Scholarship: Three scholarships are awarded annually per program, offering a 50% course/tuition fee waiver.
- Meritorious Scholarship: The top performer in each university program at the end of the year will receive a scholarship covering 50% of the course/tuition fees.
- Academic Excellence Scholarship: Students who achieve an aggregate of 85% marks in the +2 examination will receive a 50% course/tuition fee waiver upon admission. This benefit will be extended if the student maintains a minimum CGPA of 8.0 in subsequent years.

Eligibility:
Applicants holding a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Architecture/Planning, or a Master’s degree in Geography/Economics/Sociology from a recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks are eligible to apply. Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks, or those with evident experience and keen interest in Urban and Regional Planning, are also encouraged to apply.

Candidates seeking admission to MURP will be assessed based on their performance in GATE/CEED/NATA/CCU Entrance Exams.

Selection Criteria:
MBF: Admission to the MBF program will be based on the candidate’s score in any of the Entrance Exams such as XAT, CAT, NMAT, GMAT. Selection of candidates will further consider Entrance Exam Cutoff, Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview. Please note that WAT, GD & PI will be conducted in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
MPP: Final selection for the Master in Public Policy & Governance program will depend on the evaluation of the Statement of Purpose, the candidate’s performance in the Personal Interview, and consideration of their academic record and relevant work experiences.
M.Tech: Eligible candidates for M.Tech will be shortlisted based on academic credentials and/or extracurricular activities and/or Xavier Engineering Entrance Examination (XEEE) score and/or Statement of Purpose (SoP). Shortlisted candidates will then be invited for Personal Interviews leading to the final unified selection.
How to Apply for XIM University?
XIM University Application Process
Step 1: Registration and Entrance Exam Application Applicants must register and apply for one or more of the following admission tests:
- XAT 2024, conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur on January 07, 2024
- CAT 2023 by IIMs on November 26, 2023
- GMAT taken in 2022 or 2023
- NMAT by GMAC 2023 (for select programs)
If the applicant does not register for any of the above exams, they can opt for X-GMT 2024, conducted by XIM University on January 28, 2024. Please note that registration for XAT/CAT/GMAT is mandatory for applying to XIM University, unless opting for X-GMT. Applicants may apply for X-GMT on the same application form for academic programs by paying the test fee (₹1200/-).
Step 2: Application to XIM University After registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT/NMAT, applicants should fill out the online application form available separately on the XIM University website https://apply.xim.edu.in. Upon successful completion of the form and payment of the application fee (₹1600/- for the first option, and ₹400/- each for subsequent options), applicants will receive an email confirmation of the form’s acceptance. A single form can be used to apply for multiple programs and/or through multiple tests.
XIM University Admission Process 2024
XIM University places importance not just on entrance exam scores but also on academic profiles, work experience, and other relevant parameters.
