VJTI Campus Facilities

VJTI address is easily accessible as it is located in Matunga in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Mumbai is the biggest city of India and is well connected by all kinds of transportation to the country as well as the world. The VJTI campus area is spread over 16 acres and the campus type is urban.

The institute was awarded autonomy in 2004 and is funded by the Government of India. It has an intake capacity of 2860 students per year. There are approximately 150 VJTI faculty, who are experts at their subjects. The VJTI library is one of its unique attractions.

The digital library also has a huge collection of reading and research resources which the students can benefit from. It has more than 7000 resources and e-journals from various other international institutes to provide global exposure to the students.

The VJTI campus consists of laboratories separately for each and every department. The laboratories are equipped with modern machinery that helps the students have some experience of industrial training. Engineering is a highly practical subject and these equipment help them prepare for the industry.

Computer centres, well-equipped classrooms are also part of the top class infrastructure of the institute. The whole campus has Wi-Fi connectivity for better learning. VJTI hostel accommodation is provided to those students who are from outside Mumbai.

Hostel facilities are available separately for boys and girls. Currently, there are four blocks that provide accommodation to 554 students.

For hostels, students residing outside are given better preference. One has to contact the Chief Warden to enrol themselves in the hostel. VJTI hostel fee details can be obtained from the website. Some additional facilities for the residing students are:

Student Activities

Student activities are pretty popular in VJTI. there are numerous clubs that the students take part in, especially the technical clubs and nature clubs like the Entrepreneurship Cell, Aero VJTI and Society of Robotics & Automation.

VJTI fests are celebrated throughout the year in various aspects like the Pratibimb, which is the cultural fest, Enthusia, which is the sports event and Technovanza, which is the technical fest.
