Regarding seat allocation at SIT, 45% of total seats are reserved for CET candidates, 30% for COMED-K candidates, and the remaining seats are allocated to JEE Main score candidates under the Management Quota. The course-specific admission process at SIT is detailed below:

UG Courses

• Karnataka residents should take the KCET exam for BE admissions, while those outside Karnataka must clear the COMEDK exam.
• After qualifying, students participate in counseling to choose a college based on their rank.
• A rank up to 3000 is needed for CS/IT and Circuital branches, while 10,000 is sufficient for Mechanical/Civil branches.

PG Courses

• Candidates with a valid GATE score or PGCET of Karnataka are eligible for admission to MTech courses.

How To Apply?

• Apply through Karnataka CET by visiting the KCET website.
• Download the information brochure from the KCET website.
• Fill and submit the online application form, providing all necessary details as per the information brochure.
• Pay the application fee online through e-Challan.
• Upload scanned copies of passport-size photographs, candidate's signature, candidate's left hand thumb impression, and parent's signature.
• Retain at least three printouts of the finally submitted online application.
• Keep proof of fee payment.
• Preserve 2-3 copies of identical photographs that were scanned and uploaded.
• Admit cards will be issued to all successful applicants for the CET. Preserve the Admit Card until the admission in college.
• Outside Karnataka candidates can apply through COMEDK.

Note: The application process for M.Tech, MBA, and MCA courses is identical to that of B.E. However, candidates should apply through the PGCET link instead of the KCET link.

For Ph.D. Programs

• Prospective candidates for Ph.D. programs can obtain the application form from the institute's admission cell.
• Application fees can be paid using either cash or a demand draft.
• The completed application form, along with the necessary documents, should be submitted to the institute's admission office by the specified deadline.

The scholarships here are categorised into two types:

1) Sri Sripathi K.A. Memorial Scholarship:

• Admission must be secured through CET placement only.
• The student should demonstrate good academic standing and active participation in co-curricular activities.
• Financial need must be demonstrated, with the total family income not exceeding INR 3.00 lakh per annum.
• Immediate family members, including siblings, should not be government employees or associated with any government industry/company/organisation.
• The student is required to maintain good discipline with the administration, faculty, and staff members of S.I.T.
• For first-semester students, selection criteria will be based on the marks scored in the Pre-University Examination.

2) Dr. M.N. Channabasappa Endowment Fund Loan Scholarship:

• Loan scholarship allocation is based on merit.
