Patna Women’s College Admission 2023

Patna Women’s College is a constituent college of Patna University. It was established in 1940 to impart quality education in the fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, Management and Computer Applications at UG and PG level. It was the first institution of higher learning opened to cater the educational needs of women in Bihar.At present, Patna Women’s College offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA. BCA, BMC, B.Ed, MA, MCA and PG Diploma courses in various disciplines.

Admission to all UG, PG and PG Diploma courses is based on the Patna University Common Entrance Test (PUCET) conducted by the college followed by an Interview and counselling.
Final admission confirmation is subject to course-wise merit list and availability of seats.
Final admission to B.Ed is subject to counselling conducted by Patna University.
There is no entrance exam for MA (Home Science) program. Candidates are selected on the basis of their marks in the last qualifying examination.
Admission form can be filled online followed by final submission at college. The application fee can be paid By Credit/ Debit Card or through Challan.

Patna Women’s College UG Admission 2023: BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, BMC & B.Ed

Patna Women’s College offers BA, BBA, BCA, BMC, B.Com, B.Sc and B.Ed courses in various specializations at UG level. The basic eligibility criteria is 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board. Candidates for B.Ed. must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized university.

Final selection is based on marks in the Entrance Test followed by an Interview and counselling. The test will consist 100 MCQs for the duration of two hours.

Patna Women’s College offers MA, MCA and PG Diploma courses at postgraduate level. For admission to M.A. Home Science program, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Home Science or allied subject while BCA/ B.Sc. IT/ B.Sc. CS/ B.A. CS with 50% marks are required to pursue the MCA program.

Candidates seeking admission to any of the PG courses may apply for the Patna University common entrance test. Candidates have to score at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the Entrance Test in order to qualify for admission.

Key Points:

Candidates appearing in their final year exam or awaiting result are also eligible to apply.
Candidates who fail to secure a minimum of 50% marks in the Entrance Test are not eligible for interview.
Application form for MA (Home Science) can be filled online followed by submission at the college address on payment of INR 300 (INR 350) by Credit/ Debit Card or through Challan.
