  • CAT 2024: Scheduled for November 24, 2024. Admit cards are now available for download from the official CAT website, iimcat.ac.in.

  • Admission 2025: Applications are open for IIM Mumbai’s Advanced Certificate Program in Digital Supply Chain Management, offered in collaboration with Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA. Interested candidates can apply via the institute’s website (iimmumbai.ac.in) for full course details.

  • PG Executive Program in Sustainability Management: IIM Mumbai is also accepting applications for its 1-year online PG Executive Program in Sustainability Management for Business Excellence. The IMAT exam will be held from November 10 to December 1, 2024, with Personal Interviews on November 16 & 17 and December 7 & 8, 2024.

IIM Mumbai is a postgraduate public management institution located in Powai, Mumbai. Recognized as one of India’s Ivy League B-schools by MHRD for five decades, the institute was recently ranked 6th by NIRF 2024 and 8th by IIRF 2024 in the Management category. IIM Mumbai’s flagship program is the MBA, with admissions based on the CAT exam, followed by Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. The institute’s CAT cut-off is set at an overall 85 percentile.

The MBA fees at IIM Mumbai are INR 21 Lakhs for the 2-year program. For the 2024 batch, the average package for the top 50% of students stood at INR 33.84 LPA, with the highest package offered being INR 54 LPA.

IIM Mumbai Course Admissions 2025 for MBA Programs

IIM Mumbai offers two-year full-time MBA programs, viz. MBA, MBA (Sustainability Management) and MBA (Operations and Supply Chain Management). MBA (Operations and Supply Chain Management) offers specialisations in Operations & Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Information Systems & Business Strategy. 

To be eligible for IIM Mumbai course admissions to the MBA (Operations and Supply Chain Management PROGRAM at NITIE, Mumbai, applicants must have a BE/B.Tech degree in any branch with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognised university or equivalent. Aspirants with a  graduate degree in M.Sc. (Mathematics),  M. Sc. (Statistics), Dual Degree (Maths and Computing) Minimum 5 yrs can also apply. Students must also have a valid CAT score. Students appearing for their final year engineering exams are also eligible to apply.

The overall cut-off for IIM Mumbai’s MBA and MBA SM programs is 85 percentile, with sectional cut-offs of 80 percentile for VARC and DILR, and 75 percentile for QA.

Eligibility criteria for the PGDEX-VLFM program at IIM Mumbai (NITIE) require candidates to hold a Bachelor’s degree in Technology with a first class, along with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in domains such as manufacturing, consulting, operations, etc. The admission process for PGDEX-VLFM at IIM Mumbai (NITIE) involves the following stages:

IIM Mumbai (NITIE) FPM Admission 2025

Eligibility Criteria for the Fellow Program at IIM Mumbai:

Candidates must hold a master’s degree with 60% aggregate marks (55% for ST/SC/PwD) and possess a valid score in GATE/CAT/GMAT/GRE/UGC-JRF.

Admission Process for the Fellow Program:

  • Application Form: Interested candidates can complete the online application form on the admission portal.
  • Shortlisting of Candidates: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their Research Proposal.
  • Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the IIM Mumbai campus for the selection process, which includes the IIM Mumbai Admission Test, Writing Skills test, research Presentation, and Personal Interview.
  • Final Selection: The final selection will be based on the performance of candidates in the IIM Mumbai Admission test, Writing skills test, past Academic achievements, Research presentation, and Personal interview.

Eligibility for MBA in Sustainability Management (SM) Programme:

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) from a recognised university.
  • The degree should be recognised by an Act of Parliament or State legislature in India or declared deemed under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
  • Alternatively, candidates should possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

IIM Mumbai FPM Selection Criteria:

  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on their Research Proposal.
  • Shortlisted candidates will undergo IIM Mumbai Admission Test, Writing Skills test, research Presentation, and Personal Interview at IIM Mumbai.

IIM Mumbai Admission Test and Written Skills Test:

  • The IIM Mumbai Admission test comprises sections on Analytical Skills, Logical Reasoning, and Research Aptitude.
  • The Writing Skills test requires candidates to summarise a research or general article in 150-200 words.

Research Presentation and Personal Interview:

  • Candidates will present their research proposal followed by a personal interview evaluating subject knowledge, communication skills, motivation for research, and overall assessment.

Final Merit List:

  • The final merit list will be based on candidates’ performance in various components including the IIM Mumbai Admission test, Writing skills test, past Academic achievements, Research presentation, and Personal interview.
