IFMR Graduate School of Business (GSB), Sri City Scholarship:
Merit-cum-Means Scholarships:
The school offers scholarships to students requiring financial aid, aiming to ensure that no deserving student misses out on education due to financial constraints. This scholarship program is specifically designed for students with significant financial needs.
Eligibility Criteria:
a) A minimum CGPA of 3.33 (equivalent to a ‘B+’ grade average) by the end of Term 3. b) A family annual income of less than INR 10 lakhs for the relevant financial year.
At the end of Term 3, the Office of Academic Administration notifies eligible students to apply for the Merit-cum-Means scholarship, based on their CGPA.
Scholarships are awarded only to students who demonstrate a genuine need. The Scholarship Committee makes this determination using the student’s submitted information and may require a personal interview. Based on the committee’s recommendations, the top 10 students who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered for the scholarship, with a maximum award of up to INR 2 lakhs per student.
T. Thomas Scholarship For Business Leaders
IFMR GSB has been chosen by Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) to present the T. Thomas Scholarship for Business Leaders to a second-year MBA student. The recipient is selected based on their academic performance at the end of Term 3, with the scholarship amount set at INR 1 lakh.
In accordance with the criteria, the Registrar’s Office provides HUL with a list of top-performing students for the final selection of the award winner.
Merit Scholarships
Merit scholarships are awarded based on the CGPA at the end of the second year as follows:
- First rank: INR 2 lakhs
- Next three ranks: INR 1 lakh each to the following three students
CFA – CMA – IFMR GSB University Affiliation Program Partnership
In November 2019, the CFA Institute recognized IFMR GSB’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Krea University under the CFA University Affiliation Program (UAP). This affiliation indicates to prospective students, employers, and stakeholders that the MBA curriculum at IFMR GSB covers a substantial part of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge, with a strong focus on ethics as outlined in the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. This alignment highlights the MBA program’s close connection with global professional standards.
Through the CFA UAP, IFMR GSB is authorized each fiscal year to nominate eligible students for a limited number of scholarships offered by the CFA Institute, allowing them to pursue the prestigious CFA Program while completing their MBA.
