Campus Facilities at IIT Gandhinagar

The University provides a plethora of facilities to meet the needs of both students and faculty.

• Messes and Canteens: IITG is the only academic institution designated by the FSSAI as a “Eat Right Campus.” The Food Corporation has awarded 5-star ratings to all of the campus canteens and eateries. This includes the special tea store, which serves a variety of hot and cold beverages, the AMUL store, which specialises in dairy products, Nutririch, which serves a variety of juices and milkshakes, and all of the campus’s grocery stores.
• Clubs: To encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities, they are encouraged to join cultural clubs that organise various events, such as the Photography club, Drama club, Dance club, Music club, Literary club, Technology clubs, and Film Making club.
• Medical services: Qualified medical professionals, trained nurses, and physiotherapists are available at the campus’s Medical Centre. Throughout the year, medical supplies and services are readily available.
• IITG encourages its students to maintain a healthy fitness regimen and has a variety of sports facilities, including a badminton court, tennis court, basketball court, football and cricket grounds, and a fully-equipped gymnasium.
• Student committees maintain the eight centrally air-conditioned hostels at IITG. These hostels offer a variety of amenities and facilities, such as eateries, laundry facilities, a student lounge, a music room, a sports room, and convenience stores.

Hostel Facilities

IIT Gandhinagar offers a home away from home with 12 centrally air-conditioned and fully furnished hostels, accommodating over 2,600 students. These hostels—Aibaan, Beauki, Chimair, Duven, Emiet, Firpeal, Griwiksh, Hiqom, Ijokha, Jurqia, Kyzeel, and Lekhaag—are equipped with modern amenities including 24×7 WiFi, LAN connections in every room, single and double-seater rooms, sick rooms, round-the-clock electricity, common rooms, washrooms, specially designed facilities for differently-abled students, hot water supply, 24×7 security, drinking water coolers, laundry service, and elevators. Each floor of every hostel has a pantry equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, and induction stove. Additionally, the hostel premises house several stores, including a general store, grocery store, hair salon, and various cafes and eateries.
