IIT Hyderabad Campus Facilities

IIT Hyderabad is located in Sangareddy, Kandi, Telangana, close to NH-65 on IITH road. The institute’s campus spans 576 acres of land in total. It is separated into blocks because the building’s construction was done in stages. The campus of IIT Hyderabad has separate buildings for UG and PG programs. Faculty housing and student housing are both separate. There are separate hostel buildings for boys and girls; there are no integrated dorms. The institute’s infrastructure consists of the following:

  • large classrooms with contemporary conveniences.
  • Library featuring online subscriptions, 10,000 magazines, 20,000 volumes, and national and international journals.
  • Students, employees, and instructors can all eat at IITH. Both north and south Indian cuisine is offered at the dining hall. The student reps and wardens constantly check the food’s quality.
  • The first café to be introduced outside of Japan is Shiru Cafe at IITH. Japanese student interns work in the renowned student hangout cafe. Members of the IITH fraternity are also given free drinks in the cafe.
  • A brand-new medical facility has been opened at the G+1 building thanks to a partnership between IIT Hyderabad and Continental Hospitals. Japan’s JICA organisation provides funding for the medical center.

One student per room is accommodated in the hostels at IIT Hyderabad. Students may choose to reside outside of the hostels with permission from the institution. Living exclusively in hostels is not required.

IIT Hyderabad Hostel Fees:

  • Hostel Fee: ₹15,000 (covers accommodation, electricity, water, and maintenance charges)
  • Mess Expenses for UG Students: ₹16,250 (calculated at ₹128.50 per day for 129 days; subject to change)
  • Mess Expenses for PG Students: ₹24,158 (calculated at ₹128.50 per day for 160 days; subject to change)
