Phase 1 of IIT Hyderabad Placements 2025 concluded in December 2024, while Phase 2 of the placement drive is scheduled to take place between April and May 2025.

IIT Hyderabad Placements 2024

During the IIT Hyderabad placement drive 2024, the highest package offered was INR 90 LPA, while the average package stood at INR 22.5 LPA. A total of 521 job offers were extended, with 320 companies participating in the recruitment process.

For the BTech batch of 2024, the highest package offered was INR 90 LPA, and the placement rate was recorded at 74.56%. Additionally, the highest package for MSc and MTech students reached INR 58 LPA.

Looking back at 2023, the highest and average packages stood at INR 63.78 LPA and INR 20.07 LPA, respectively. The overall placement rate was 74.90%, with 335 companies visiting the campus and making 621 offers.

IIT Hyderabad Internship 2023-24 Highlights

The institute has also published its Internship Brochure 2024–25, reflecting the statistics for 2023–24. IIT Hyderabad offers two types of internships: Summer Internship (2 months) and Semester Internship (6 months). In total, 250 internship offers were made, including 7 international opportunities. The highest stipend reached INR 2 lakh per month, and the average stipend stood at INR 79,000 per month. The total number of summer internships was 159, while 73 students secured semester internships.

The campus of IIT Hyderabad

IIT Hyderabad is located near NH-65 in Sangareddy, Kandi, Telangana, on the IITH road. The institute's campus encompasses a total of 576 acres of land. It is divided into blocks because the building was constructed in stages. The IIT Hyderabad campus is divided into blocks for undergraduate and graduate programs. The housing for students and faculty is also separate. There are no mixed-gender hostels; the hostel buildings are segregated for both students. The institute's infrastructure includes the following:

• Modern classrooms with ample space.
• A library with 20,000 books and 10,000 periodicals, as well as national and international journals and online subscriptions, is available.
• IITH Dining is available to all students, staff, and faculty. The restaurant serves both north and south Indian cuisine. The student representatives and wardens inspect the food quality regularly. 
• Shiru Cafe at IITH was the first to open outside of Japan. The cafe is well-liked by students and is staffed by Japanese student interns. The cafe also provides free beverages to members of the IITH fraternity.

IIT Hyderabad's hostels accommodate one student per room. Students are also permitted to stay outside of the hostels if they so desire. There is no requirement to only live in hostels.

Students at IIT Hyderabad can access a variety of scholarships provided by various institutes, as well as governmental and private scholarship schemes. However, to qualify, students must meet the basic eligibility requirements for each scholarship. Additionally, a student can receive only one scholarship from any of these sources. Merit Cum Means Scholarship:

• Selected students receive a monthly pocket allowance of INR 250, along with a refund of License Fee and Dining Charges as per eligibility.
