IIT Guwahati Courses Admission 2024

Admission for IIT Guwahati for 2024 is now closed. The exam dates for GATE and IIT JAM 2025 have been announced:

• GATE 2025: Scheduled for February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. Registration will be open from August 24 to September 26, 2024.
• IIT JAM 2025: Scheduled for February 2, 2025, for MSc courses. Registration will be available from September 3 to October 11, 2024.

Admissions to the BTech program at IIT Guwahati are determined by the JEE Advanced score in 2024, followed by the JoSAA Counselling process.

The expected CSE cutoff for IIT Guwahati admission 2024 for the general category is 595. Additionally, IIT Guwahati offers a BDes program, with admission based on UCEED exam scores.

For MTech, MSc, and MDes programs, IIT Guwahati admits students through various national-level entrance examinations. The institute considers GATE for MTech, IIT JAM for MSc, and CEED for MDes. • Final admission to candidates in this category is based on either 100% weightage of GATE performance and with/without counselling, or 70% weightage of GATE performance and 30% weightage of other components such as performance in written test and/or interview conducted by the concerned academic department/center, academic credential of the candidates, and so on.

MBA Admissions at IIT Guwahati in 2024

The School of Business at IIT Guwahati offers a two-year full-time residential MBA program. Candidates must take the CAT exam to be considered for admission to the IIT Guwahati MBA programme. Candidates will be chosen based on their CAT scores, followed by a PI round conducted by the institute.

Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for admission to the MBA programme at IIT Guwahati:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 60% marks or a CPI or CGPA of at least 6.0 out of 10.
• A 5% increase in marks (i.e., a minimum of 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (i.e., a minimum of 5.50 on a 10-point scale) is permitted for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

• The admissions process will include a seminar/presentation on a topic related to the candidate’s discipline.
• Candidates must create portfolios, projects, and work experience based on their research interests.
