IIT Delhi Latest Updates and Announcements

  • M.Sc Admissions 2025: The JOAPS Counselling 2025 schedule for M.Sc admission at IIT Delhi, based on IIT JAM scores, has been released. The application deadline on the JOAPS portal has been extended to April 11, 2025.

  • Ph.D Admissions 2025-26: Applications for Ph.D. Semester 1 are currently open. The last date to apply is April 14, 2025 (12 PM) via ecampus.iitd.ac.in.

  • MBA Executive Admissions 2025 (DMS, IIT Delhi): Applications are open until April 15, 2025. The written test is tentatively scheduled for May 17, 2025. Click here for details.

  • PG Fee Structure (2025-26): The total academic fee ranges from ₹1.2 Lakhs to ₹18 Lakhs.

    Doctoral Programs Fee: The academic fee ranges from ₹1.79 Lakhs to ₹2.26 Lakhs.

  • Joint PhD Program (IIT Delhi – University of Queensland): Applications are open for the July 2025 session. Apply by March 18, 2025 via uqiitd.org/apply. Interview invitations will be sent on April 28, 2025, and interviews will be held from May 6 to 12, 2025.

  • Executive Program in Tech Product Management (AY 2025-26): Applications are open until April 8, 2025, with a fee of ₹1,180. The program begins on June 28, 2025. Apply via cepqip.iitd.ac.in.

  • GATE COAP 2025: Registrations are open for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan admissions. Round 1 offers will be released on May 17, 2025. Candidates with valid GATE scores (2023–2025) must register at gate.iisc.ac.in/coap2025 and apply separately to each institute.

  • JEE Advanced 2025: Registration will be open from April 23 to May 2, 2025, at jeeadv.ac.in. The exam is scheduled for May 18, 2025. Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main qualifiers are eligible.

 

IIT Delhi Admission 2025 will be conducted based on national-level entrance examinations. The institute offers a wide range of programs across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. IIT Delhi M.Tech Admission 2025

The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, offers admission to its M.Tech program, featuring 43 specialisations, with admissions determined through the GATE entrance test followed by counseling.

IIT Delhi provides management programs through its Department of Management Science, situated on the IIT campus. The institute offers an MBA program with a choice of six specialisations, including Telecommunication Systems Management, Information Systems, Finance, Marketing, Strategic Management, and Operations Management.

IIT Delhi Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants are required to have successfully graduated in any field with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.

IIT Delhi EMBA Admission 2025

The Executive MBA program at IIT Delhi spans six semesters. Admission to this program is determined by the reservation criteria established by the Government of India. Candidates aspiring to enroll in the program are required to possess a Bachelor’s degree and have accrued 2 years of work experience following the completion of their undergraduate degree. The total program fee amounts to INR 18 Lacs, payable in equal installments over the course of six semesters.

IIT Delhi EMBA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates eligible for IIT Delhi course admissions should hold one of the following qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/Technology.
  2. A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences, including Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics.
  3. A Bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Statistics, Operation Research, Computer Application, Economics, Commerce, CA/ICWAI.

In addition to the relevant educational background, candidates are required to meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (across all years/semesters) or a CGPA of 6.00 on a 10-point scale or its equivalent in the aforementioned degree programs is mandatory for admission.
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories, the minimum performance requirement in the qualifying degree, along with a postgraduate qualification, is relaxed from 60% to 55% (with the CGPA relaxed from 6.00 to 5.50).
  • Candidates are also expected to have a minimum of 2 years of work experience following the completion of their qualifying degree, as of August 1, 2025.

IIT Delhi Admission Criteria for EMBA Selection

Individuals holding a Bachelor’s degree and possessing two years of work experience are eligible to complete the application form. The institute evaluates candidates’ applications and shortlists them for the interview round. Applicants who successfully pass the interview phase receive admission offer letters, marking the final step in the selection process.

IIT Delhi MSc Admission 2025

IIT Delhi Admission Criteria for MS (R) Selection

  • IIT Delhi course admissions will be granted through a multi-stage process, including the GATE score, a written test administered by IIT-D, and a subsequent interview. 
  • Direct admission will be extended to candidates who have attained a minimum of 75% (70% for SC/ST/PH) marks in aggregate in their BE/B.Tech or M.Sc degrees, coupled with a GATE score equal to or exceeding 300 (200 for SC/ST/PH).

Please note that 70% of the admission weightage is allocated to the GATE score during the admission process.

IIT Delhi MPP Admission 2025

IIT Delhi has launched a fresh Master in Public Policy (MPP) program at the postgraduate level, with a duration of two years. This program emphasises Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) in the context of development. Admission to the program is contingent upon either a written test or an interview conducted by the institute.

IIT Delhi MPP Eligibility Criteria

To meet the eligibility criteria for admission to the IIT Delhi MPP program, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Possess a four-year Bachelor’s Degree, such as B.Tech, BSc (Ag), BVSc, or its equivalent, OR
  • Hold a five-year Bachelor’s degree, such as MBBS, BA LLB (Hon), B.Arch, or its equivalent, OR
  • Hold Post-Graduate degrees, including M.A, M.Sc, M.Phil, Integrated M.Sc/M.A, M.Tech, or its equivalent.

In addition, candidates must have achieved a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale in their qualifying degree. For SC/ST/PwD category candidates, the minimum requirement is 55% marks or a CGPA of 5.50.

IIT Delhi Admission Criteria for MPP Selection

The selection process for the MPP program at IIT Delhi comprises two stages. In the initial stage, candidates will undergo shortlisting based on their academic performance or qualifications. Subsequently, in the second phase, shortlisted candidates will participate in either a written test or an interview conducted by the institute. The ultimate selection of candidates will be determined by their performance in the written test or interview conducted by the institute.

IIT Delhi BDes Admission 2025

IIT Delhi has launched a 4-year BDes program with a maximum capacity of 20 seats.

IIT Delhi Admission Criteria for BDes Selection

For admission to the IIT Delhi BDes program, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Successful completion of the 10+2 level board examination in the science or commerce stream.
  • Attainment of a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in the 10+2 examination from a recognised board of education.
  • Eligibility is limited to UCEED 2025 qualified candidates, and the application process must be completed exclusively through the official website of the UCEED 2025 exam.

IIT Delhi MDes Admission 2025

IIT Delhi provides a 2-year M.Des program at the postgraduate level, currently offering it exclusively in the Industrial Design specialisation. IIT Delhi course admissions to the M.Des program is based on a direct admission process followed by an interview.

  • Applicants should possess a B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch. or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.00 on a 10-point scale.

IIT Delhi Ph.D Admission 2025

    The necessary documents include:

    1. A scanned Eligibility Certificate in PDF format.
    2. Either a Degree Certificate, Provisional Certificate, or a Certificate from the Head of the Department/Institute, available on the GOAPS website.
    3. If applicable, a scanned PwD Certificate in PDF format.
    4. A passport-sized photograph of the candidate, scanned in JPEG format with dimensions between 480×640 and 240×320 pixels.
    5. A scanned signature image in JPEG format, with dimensions ranging from 160×560 to 80×280 pixels.
