  • PG Admissions 2025 at IIT Bombay are currently open. The application window for various postgraduate courses runs from April 11 to May 20, 2025. Shortlisted applicants will need to attend an Interview Round, scheduled between April 18 and June 5, 2025.

  • Ph.D. Admissions 2025 (Autumn Semester - July Session) are underway. Candidates can apply online at iitb.ac.in from March 25 to April 11, 2025 (without a late fee) and until April 14, 2025 (5 PM) with a late fee. The list of shortlisted candidates for the written test/interview will be published on April 21, 2025.

  • Ph.D. Admissions 2025 (Spring Semester) will open on September 10, 2025. Applications will be accepted until October 17, 2025, and the shortlist for interviews/written test will be released on October 27, 2025.

  • M.Des Admissions 2025 are ongoing. The shortlist of candidates will be announced on April 21, 2025. The written test will take place on May 9, 2025, followed by interviews from May 10 to May 12, 2025. Results will be declared on May 2, 2025.

  • GATE COAP 2025 registration is now open for admissions to M.Tech, M.Arch, and M.Plan programs. Round 1 offers will be available from May 17, 2025. Candidates with valid GATE scores from 2023, 2024, or 2025 can register at gate.iisc.ac.in/coap2025. Note: Applicants must also apply individually to each participating institute.

  • JEE Advanced 2025 registration will be open from April 23 to May 2, 2025, as announced on the official site jeeadv.ac.in. The exam is scheduled for May 18, 2025. Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates from JEE Main 2025 will be eligible to appear.

B.Tech Admission:
Admission to the B.Tech program at IIT Bombay for 2024 is based on JEE Advanced scores. The JEE Advanced results will be announced on June 9, 2024.

Other Major Updates:

  • M.Tech Admission: The GATE COAP (Round 3) seat allotment will continue until May 29, 2024.
  • The IIT Bombay JAM cutoff for 2024 has been released for the MSc course, covering Round 1. Candidates selected in the first admission list must pay the online seat booking fee by June 4, 2024. The cutoff for Round 2 is expected to be announced on June 12, 2024.

Admissions to MTech programs at IIT Bombay are based on the GATE score, and the GATE 2024 Branch-Wise Exam Dates have been released at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

Phase 1 of IIT Bombay Placements 2024 has concluded. The average package at IIT Bombay stood at INR 36.9 LPA, with the highest package surpassing INR 1 crore per annum. During this phase, 85 students secured annual packages exceeding one crore, while 63 received international job offers. By December 20, 2023, recruiters extended a total of 1340 placement offers, resulting in 1180 students securing placements. Additionally, students received 297 PPOs, of which 258 were accepted. Recruiters spanned various sectors including IT, Software, Finance, and Consulting, with prominent names such as Apple, Google, Intel, Morgan Stanley, Jaguar, and Qualcomm among the top recruiters.
