IIIT Surat Campus Facilities

IIIT Surat is a relatively new institution among the IIITs. It just started its session in 2017 with courses in B.tech programmes. It is run on a Public-Private basis which is partly funded by the government and partly on private expenditure.

The official IIIT Surat is Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, located in Ichchhanath, Surat (Gujarat) and the college is about 8 km from the Surat International Airport and 10 km from the Surat Railway Station.

The IIIT Surat campus provides all the basic amenities required by the students. A new campus is sanctioned to be constructed. In the initial three years, the institute will be mentored by Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology.

The campus provides facilities that include a central IIIT library. The central library consists of mostly digital content. It has 5,767 e-books on various subject matters related to engineering, E-journals and databases for research purposes.

Computer centre are available which provide internet facilities to the students. It also helps in providing computing services like emailing, printing, scanning etc to the students.

The additional facilties included in the campus are canteen, auditorium, bank and sports provisions. IIIT Fest is not functional at this moment because it is very new and just started its operations.
