Facilities at IIEST in Shibpur:
- On the IIEST campus, there are a total of 18 hostels. For female students and scholars only, three distinct hostels are available. Additionally, each hostel has its own mess, which is overseen by an accomplished Chief Warden.
- Library: The IIEST contains a sizable, well-kept library. All of the academic and research demands of both students and research scientists are met by it. Over 2 lakh volumes, journals, and electronic journals can be found at the library. It is more than 150 years old and covers a space of 3000 square metres.
- Sports Center:The student has access to top-notch facilities that support the growth of their athletic and sporting ability. A Yogic practise arena and the Student’s Amenities Center have also recently been built for the use of the students. The Institute Sports Board oversees all operations.
- Computer Labs: IIEST has modern computer labs that can meet the demands of students, researchers, faculty members, and employees. The most recent hardware and software are given to the students so they can manage their coursework as efficiently as possible.
- Hospital: The institute has a hospital on its grounds that can offer residents effective care and treatment. It has all the tools and supplies required to handle the majority of medical requirements. Six highly qualified and properly trained doctors work in the facility.
- Each of the 18 hostels has a designated mess or canteen where the students may eat delectable, wholesome meals. In addition to the different dorm messes, there are several cafes and restaurants on campus that serve students and professors delectable food that has been prepared hygienically.
