The institute spans across 27 acres of land with various buildings including an Administrative Block covering 6118 square meters, 9 Academic Blocks totaling approximately 27518 square meters, a residential area of around 8289 square meters, and a hostel area of 40655 square meters.

Separate hostel accommodations are provided for male and female students, comprising 9 boys’ hostels and 4 girls’ hostels.

The campus encompasses a range of amenities spread over 37000 square meters, including a restaurant, open-air cafeteria, departmental store, pharmacy, bank with ATM kiosk, laundry, salon, post office, book store, and reprographic section.

An electrical sub-station with a capacity of 850 KVA ensures uninterrupted power supply, supported by the institute’s own DG power supply of 425 KVA for emergency situations.

Hostel Facility
Separate Hostel facility is available for boys and girls. There are 11 Boys’ hostels and 03 Girls’ hostels for UG and PG students. Renowned for its state-of-the-art facilities, HIT is dedicated to fostering holistic growth.

Hostels: Separate accommodation facilities are available for male and female students, with a total of 11 boys’ hostels and 3 girls’ hostels catering to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Each hostel is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, with a caution deposit of INR 5000 applicable for both genders.
Library: HIT boasts a three-story library featuring 6 reading halls capable of accommodating up to 300 students. The library provides access to an extensive collection of resources, including 89784 general books, Book bank books, and books from TEQIP of the World Bank Fund, accessible both physically and electronically.
Laboratories: State-of-the-art computer labs, engineering workshops, and laboratories are available to students at HIT Haldia, equipped with over 850 computers to facilitate hands-on learning experiences.
Other Facilities: HIT Haldia offers a range of additional amenities, including a multipurpose auditorium with a seating capacity of approximately 500 individuals, a restaurant, an open-air cafeteria, a departmental store, a pharmacy, a bank & ATM kiosk, laundry services, a multi-facility gym, a barber shop, post office, book store, and a reprographic section.
