Delhi University Campus Facilities
Delhi University Campus is spread across the entire city of Delhi, and it has 90 colleges and 16 faculties affiliated under it. Further, the campus is split into two parts, the North and South. Initially, when the University of Delhi was formed, it has constituted three colleges from the north campus and this also known as the Delhi University-Main Campus.
Since then the Delhi University North Campus has spread out to include 13 colleges under it, with faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, Law and Management. Like most universities in India, Delhi University address is reachable from any part and it is accessible through metro, bus, train and others.

Some of the renowned colleges under it are St. Stephens College, Kirori Mal College, Miranda House, Shri Ram College of Commerce, Hindu College, Ramjas College. Maharaja Agrasen College, Satyawati College, and many more.
The campus accommodates important centres and institutes like Delhi School of Economics, Delhi School of Journalism, Cluster Innovation Center and Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research.
In the year 1973, Delhi University South Campus was inaugurated to meet the requirements of expansion. The south campus is spread across an area of 28 hectares. There are various departments under the campus with colleges like Lady Shri Ram College, Aurobindo College, Deshbandhu College, Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Moti Lal Nehru College, Shivaji College, etc. East campus is being recently developed for the branch of medical sciences.
The students and staff get a wide range of facilities at Delhi University Campus. To ensure the safety and security within the campus, it has installed CCTV cameras. The bank and post office located within provide assistance to the people of University as well as common public.
The Community of Delhi University has better access to the transportation system through the counters of Railway Reservation and D.T.C Bus Pass. The WUS health centre has all kinds of medical facilities for University people.
The Delhi University Library System consists of 34 libraries and has a subscription to a high-quality electronic database for teachers, students and research scholars. UGC-INFONET Digital Library Consortium also provides 21 more databases for the benefit of students and faculties. Students and faculties can get any reference books for their subjects in the Delhi University central library.
Delhi University Hostel is divided among the two campuses of north and south. All these hostels offer accommodation with other facilities like a common room, gymnasium, kitchen, dining hall, laundry and many more. Hostels under north campus are Meghdoot Hostel, Mansarover Hostel, Rajiv Gandhi Hostels for Girls, Jubilee Hall, etc.
The Aravali Hostel, Gitanjali Hostel, and Saramati Post Graduate Men’s Hostel are hostels under the south campus.
