The University of Kanpur established a placement cell of summer training for both placement services and organization. The university is taking new initiatives and measures to achieve excellence in academic standards.

To place the students in top MNC’s and higher education institutions, it is taking an active interest to develop the quality of its teaching and research.

Most of the faculty members of the college are PhD holders, and they are ready to assist and train the students in perspective of their bright and successful careers. 

The Objectives of the Kanpur University Placement Cell are:

• Arranging and organizing campus interviews for final years from reputed business and industrial houses from all over India.
• Prepare and train the students to face campus interviews by conducting various sessions like Aptitude Test, Group Discussions, HR and Technical round interviews through professionals.
• Providing a career counselling session with experts from top industries and immediately placed seniors. 

There are several students who prefer to go for higher education by securing high percentile in GATE Examination. They have joined different prestigious institutions like IITs, IISc Bangalore, ISM Dhanbad, etc.

Some of them have even got opportunities in University of USA and UK.  UIET of Kanpur University has given chances to the brilliant students to present their papers in the prestigious institutes like MIT, USA.

Many students from Kanpur University has taken up jobs of lecturers in colleges, while others have enrolled their careers in management programs. 

After the completion of University courses students were found to work in esteemed organizations both in public and private sectors like Steel Authority of India, Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), Infosys, HCL, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Scooter India Ltd, Oswal Chemicals, Nerolac Paints, NTPC, IBM, and many other several such organizations. 

In Management courses, students got a training and counselling session from faculties and members of T.I.M.E. Almost 60% of the students were placed from MBA department with the highest salary package around Rs.5.3 LPA and lowest around Rs. 2.8 LPA.

Companies like SBI Insurance, Berger Paints, Asians Paints, etc. hired MBA students from Kanpur University. The batch of M.Pharma also got 70% of placement, and the highest package offered was around Rs.5 LPA.
