UPSC IFS Registration

UPSC provides online application form for Indian Forest Service Registration. This year the forms were released in February applicants were allowed to submit their applications online only till March 6, 2018. No mode other than online application is allowed.

Candidates applying for Indian Forest Service examination are required to appear in the Civil Services Prelim Examination and
qualify the same for appearing in the 2nd stage of Indian Forest Service, which is the Mains Exam. Candidates may apply for Indian Forest Service examination as well as for CSE through a common online application form.

Candidates, please ensure that you have checked the eligibility criteria for Indian Forest Services and are qualified for the same prior to applying.

How To Apply For IFS Examination 2018?

  • The application forms are available online at the UPSC official website – upsconline.nic.in. The date from which the forms will be available will be specified when the IFS Notification 2019 is released.
  • Candidates are required to complete the IFS Online Application Form in two stages – Part-I and Part-II
  • The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only)
    Note: SC/ST/ Female/Persons with benchmark disability are exempted from payment of fee
  • Payment can be made by depositing the money in any branch of SBI OR by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using any Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/ Debit Card.

Documents Required for Upload

A candidate must have a passport-size photograph and signature duly scanned in the .jpg format in the following manner:

  • Each file size should be lower than 40 KB but at least 3 KB in size for the photograph and 1 KB in size for for the signature

Note

  • If due to some unavoidable situations – more than one application is made, the applicant must make sure that the application with higher RID (Registration ID) is complete in all respects as  only the applications with higher RID shall be entertained by the Commission
  • Candidates already engaged in Government Service, whether in any capacity other than daily rated employees or those serving under the Public Enterprises are required to submit an undertaking that they have informed in writing to their Head of Office/Department that they have applied for the Examination.
