Before that let me tell you something about this Course(R.D).....and how itz different from other course....
Rural Development has inevitably became a distinct profession. Development of rural masses is a composite concern and a movement to be operationalized under extremely diverse milieu; this course prepares the students to meet the challenges posed by the profession and moulds them into change agents-facilitators in the process of development.......
:)Isn't that challenging...:cheerio:.........U will be very surprised to know that there are very few good institutions which offer such a course..... like IRMA,TISS,XIM-B and our very own XISS.
But the thing which makes XISS above all those institutions are....its vast experience(above 50 years)......and its exposure of field given to students ....
1 more thing i want to say........this course is not for those students who wants to get higher packages...........If u only want to earn money then i am very sorry to say this PLAESE DONT TAKE ADMISSION IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT COURSE.
Frankly speaking d salary what u people will get after doing this course is not at all astronomical..........if salary is only your basis of selecting a business school thenXISS-R.D is definitely a wrong place for you...
But let me tell you................. if u really want to do something value added in your life.......R.D is for you........if u want to work for the bottom of pyramids.....R.D is for you......if you can understand feelings of others....R.D is for you......if u want to bring change in society.......R.D is for you......if you want to do social service.....R.D is for you.....if u want to be a development agent........R.D is for you......if u are a doer not a preacher........R.D is for you.................................in short "IF YOU WANT TO SERVE YOUR MOTHER INDIA"......"R.D IS FOR YOU"
And don't worry about career because its growth is Astronomical...... Its alumni base is d strongest among all the departments of XISS..

hey richa...As far as cut-offs r concerned they are very low..approx 30%tile(last year).....but 75-80%tile would be considered as safe....

1st thing ....Itz Ayushman not ausshman...nyways..fees for R.D hovers around 2.16 lac though there are several overheads out there.....
As far as finance is concerned itz is no doubt new....but its good...some of the best students of Xiss are in finance...
As far as salary is concerned This year P.W.C has offered 6.1......though placement is going on...and vry big companies are yet to come....minimum till now is 2.4...
