Somebody please Help....................

Opt for Accenture..quality of work, management and carreer growth much better.

I have worked at Accenture for 2.5 years. I advise you to stick to TCS and shift after a year at minimum.
Reasons:

1) Accy is just as good or as bad as our Indian IT cos. Absolutely similar work. The same office politics and HR policies. It is an "MNC" only in the name.

2) Most of Accy is outside India, reduces your onsite chances

3) In recent times Accy is losing competitiveness IMO, large chunks of work are being taken away by other cos. At the same time TCS is doing quite well.

4) Coming to the salary part, Accy is horrible when it comes to hikes (for those who joined it as freshers) . Now TCS may not be really much better but there was always a difference of more than 1K a month between me and my TCS friends. But if you join Accy as a lateral with, say, 2 yrs experience then you get hikes properly.

5) Not a very tangible reason, but still: TCS is Indian, keep the revenue within India :)

Of course, if you want a company that looks good on the resume then perhaps Accy would be better, because I've just been through the interview season and one common question was why I left such a big and reputed company like Accy for MBA.

Good points stated by rayman...having worked with TCS for more than 2 years i can say that the same story prevails in every Indian IT company..I personally think that TCS is not the best company to join as a fresher..its a completely different story if u join TCS with 2-3 years experience..Exp Ppl are paid well and given good roles...As a fresher in TCS, its an everyday battle to get things done..u r expected to do things that u have absolutely no idea of..lot of unnecessary slogging, nobody listens to you...working hours can sometimes extend upto 15-18 h/day...if u want time to prepare for further studies..TCS is not the place to be.

Thanx 2 everone who gave their suggestions, plz add whatever extra u may feel..........

So here's what i get from what everyone said (Correct me if i'm wrong):--

TCS:------------
*Relaxed working environment
*More(diversified), not necessarily better Learning
*Job Stability

Accenture:-----------
*Tough but better working environment
*Better Learning
*Better Career growth
*Salary hike is more(DISPUTED)

So, irrespective of which company i work in, i have to shift to another company after 2 years...in order to get a salary hike.....

But my question is:-- When i try to move to another company after 2 years, whose name will carry more weight- TCS or ACCENTURE????

Both the companies have got good brand name. I would say that the only things that matters for you being a fresher are better learning opportunities and you get the work that you like. Noone can predict at this stage that what work you will be put into. (By work I mean your project, your domain like development, QA, support, maintenance) and your vertical like banking, telecomm, manufacturing). And keep this also in mind that being a fresher you will not given much choices ( niether in Accenture nor in TCS). So at the end of the day, it all depends on your luck. :lookround:

join tcs if u want to do an mba.. i am a tcs employee and tcs has given me ample time to study but if ur looking for a career in IT join accenture.. their avg work profile if far better than that in tcs.. tcs has slew of domestic projects which has no learning and it really gets on ur nerves.. moreover tcs has close to 2 lc employees so it doesn't matter if ur talented, they don't have time to judge you.. it's only about luck. a person 10% as talented as you may be going onsite and u'll be sitting idle in the corner of the office..

Hello puys ...
I am a fourth year B.TECH engineer ... And i am preparing for CAT ... I am very hopeful of cracking CAT this year , but if something adverse happens then i will have to continue my pursuit next year also ... taking that in consideration , which IT company should i choose among TCS , WIPRO , CTS and Infosys . I want a company that can give me maximum time for my CAT preparation as well as a one and a half month hiatus before the D-day . The salary is more or less the same in these companies . Also I have sufficient grades and i have the freedom to choose amongst them ...

Help puys ...
@singhanand98 : for the people who are dedicated to work there is always work, for others der is no work.. chill out, any company is the same.. ALl the best and congos
@aabhishek07 But i heard that some companies have very stringent attendance norms ... Is that so ? I mean i want some company where i don't have to work ... I don't care about the salary ... now which one?
@singhanand98 go for TCS
@singhanand98 : no company allows you to take leaves, untill and unless u have very important reason.. when u get less pay, you wont feel like working.. it depends on you to manage things along with work :)
@Nihar105479 Yeah man ... read a few posts prior here ... it's clear now TCS it is

I have got offer letter of TCS , but on researching some article i found that there is a formality where i need to arrange surety with income tax proof ,or make a Fixed Deposit of 50,000.But i want to know what is surety,i cannot pay FD or arrange surety as i cannot arrange that sum of money? any other solution.

i want to know that i have given interview of accenture thru amcat and i have got mail from accenture today like candidate eligibility confirmation ,,,what does that mean ,,,have i been selected or soem procedure is yet pending,,,help me out of this

I attended the Accenture off-campus drive and I have doubt regarding document uploading. Actually in all my marks cards from 10th to B.E is is just my name and while filling up the details last name was marked as madatory so I provided the last name.comments are given as last name mismatch between all other documents and identity details.
