Hi all..Can anybody please tell me what is the first & second round deadline of application for 1 year MBA in IIM A,B,C & L ,ISB etc? I have to extend my GMAT exam date from 16 october to a date in Nov or December(preferable) due to some unavoidable reasons? i have only 2 days to make an extension..Please somebody help..Thanks in advance.

My score in 800score has been consistently around 600-650. Does that mean same score will be reflected in my GMAT. or is it that GMAT ques are generally little lees tough? please let me know... GMAT exam soon... very tensed.

Which is the best test series for GMAT?

Basically I require a competitive one whose questions are at same or level above actual GMAT and does provide good analysis for its mocks.

A Manhattan GMAT question. Can anyone tell me the answer and explanation to this question ? (Solution was not available)

I feel it can be answered without both the statements as I could find only one pair which satisfies this : p-20, q-25

If a number N is decreased by p percent and then the resulting value is increased by q percent, the final result is equal to N. If both p and q are positive integers, what is the value of p ?
 
(1) p is not a multiple of 10.
 
(2) q is not a multiple of 10.

 (A) Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.  (B) Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.  (C) BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.  (D) EACH statement ALONE is sufficient.  (E) Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient to answer the question asked, and additional data are needed.

Hi there,

I will be giving my GMAT in Feb next year however I am not very sure about my chances of getting into a renowned program. I know GMAT is the first step to take and am keenly focused on preparing for the same. However, I would definitely be grateful if someone can evaluate my academics and help me provide a suitable direction as to which colleges will be under my reach(Definitely aiming for the best out there).

I understand that my query can seem very vague to be answered to the point. But any piece of advice might put my efforts in the right perspective.

I am currently working for Reliance Industries Ltd as a manager. I am working on a petrochemical commissioning project, one of the largest in the world.

I have a total of 3 years of work experience in the petrochemical manufacturing industry, I have operated plant manufacturing paraxylene, and have worked as a panel operator and as a shift engineer.

Panel Operator: actually control the plant parameters and responsible for handling all emergency situations

Shift Engineer: Responsible for all the job taking place in the plant. Co-ordination with maintenance dept (Inst/Mech/Elec/Civ) for the upkeep of plant and and all related equipment. Permit System on SAP.

Also have experience in budgeting; have handled PPPI (production planning - process plants on SAP)

Other details -

College: UDCT, Mumbai (formerly known as ICT)

Xth - 80%

XIIth - 90%

B. Chemcical Engg - 63%

PLease suggest suitable college for application (round 2) and online counselors. I cannot travel to Mumbai or any other city for counselling.

Also, I have not given the TOEFL. Will it be necessary?????

I am currently working "Actuarial Domain" with Mercer- "Pension Valuation MNC". I have overall experience of around 5.5 years and 4.5 years of experience in Actuarial.

10th-76.8%
12th-81%

Grad ( Business Economics)-61%

I want to know

1.which all colleges I can aim for in 650-700score.

2. what all I need in my profile to be considered by ISB.

3. What is the right time to appear for GMAT if I am aiming 2017-2018.

4. which all institutes provides GMAT coaching and are there any online classes available.

5. Can anyone guide me on the exam pattern.

Work ex : 16 months 

my questions are :

1. when to attempt GMAT ?

2.what are some online resources that will give me look and feel touch of the exam ?

3.with this profile which colleges should i target ?

@prepzone  Hi, MBA aspirant here, with 690 score in previous attempt, planning to appear again. (4 yrs IT exp, X - 80, XII - 80, Engg - 67 {Pune University, First Class With Distinction})

As mentioned in your posts, CSR activities help in profile building. I am actually involved into CSR activities, however I have no certificates for it. Could you please elaborate a little if at all any certificate or proof required to mention the CSR activity into my profile.

I am presently working as Hadoop developer (Working on Big Data) and I aspire to grow into the field of Data Analytics. I want to join a MBA program or a better MIS program which could help me to meet my aspirations. While going ahead I would also be concerned on ROI part.

Hi Guys, I am currently working in TCS and have around 3 yrs of work exp. Xth 84%, XII 87% , University topper in B.E with 85% . I am involved in CSR activities in my organization though I dnt hv any certificates 4 d same. Got some awards in the Organization nominated by supervisor. Do you think the profile is ok for GMAT. Also I m new to start preparing 4 GMAT so kindly suggest wht is the best source to prepare. Online sources are preferable as I am planning 2 change location. Kindly reply...

I really need someone's guidance. I did my B.Com from DU ( correspondence)..[ Don't judge].

I want to write GMAT this year.I have no work experience,nothing at all. My credentials are Xth-7.2 CGPA, XIIth-79.8,% Grad.-54.55%.

so I just need to know if I score somewhere near to 700.Do I have any chance to make into YALE,HARVARD or WHARTON.

or should I just go for CAT.

or doing job would be preferable

I am planning to write Gmat in July this year. I have not started with the preparation yet but have appeared for CAT twice (94 & 96 percentile). Kindly let me know the study schedule that I should follow considering the fact that I get only 3 hours for studying daily.

My profile:

10th: 95.6%

12th: 79%

Grads: 8.2 CGPA (BTech, NIT Jalandhar)

Work ex: 1.5 years (FMCG company in core operations profile)

Extra Curricular: National level certificates in sports as well as academics, social work (with relevant proofs)
