Hey jitzz

I am an IT engineer having a work ex of 3 yrs in an MNC in BFS domain. Besides, am a technical analyst as well.We have a batch of 21 students. As a minimum of 3 years work ex is compulsary, so here we have a gud no. of people from IT background. We have a number of people from financial background, worked in brokerage houses, hedge funds and other financial institutions.
Ours is a 1year program, focussing specifically on capital markets.So. u need to be interested in markets as a career for this one. Also,u should not worry abt the placement and the stipend money.ICICI has been prompt in this regard.
Do ask in case of any more clarifications.
Cheers!!

hey bokaman thanks for the info, please answer few of my questions:

1)what will be the level of aptitude test? the difficulty level as compared to ICICI BLP BMAT.. and also the question related to banking- wat all concepts in banking wil be covered?

2) i am from US Mortgages background- so what all banking domain knowledge should i have to face the interview? in the interview questions from which domain will be asked.. so that i can prepare for the interview well..

3)why is the batch size so less for this program? hw's the competition for the selection process? hw many will be selected in aptitude test, then group discussion?

Hey mba85pag,

1)Level of the test will be like a normal mgmt test paper, almost like the BLT paper.Last year we had no questions from banking in the entrance test, as the paper was prepared by NISM itself.

2)It helps a great deal if u have financial domain knowledge certainly, for interview just make sure you know thoroughly whatever you have done in the financial domain and in ur company.

3)Ours was the first batch, moreover we will be placed in the treasury of the bank itself which as it is houses lesser no. of people.Maybe they will increase the batch size this year.

Competition will be a gud one as it is a national level exam, just have faith in ur preparation.

Hope that suffices...

Cheers.

Hey bokaman,

I'm from IT background with close to 4 years exp but all with healthcare domain but as damn intrested in this as i do a lot of trading and other stuff...

Bro....a quick one......is 3 years of work-ex mandatory for this course?

A very good information for NISM certification. So many professional and interested to do this certification and preparing through various study materials. Some of the companies and websites are also providing free online test materials for practice and preparations. Intelivisto is also one of the place where so many materials can be found that will help for clearing NISM, NCFM exams

hey dude u did not get selected for the BLP?

NO dude... Hard luck for me... Surfing ICICI site for next BLP details and by chance saw this and applied :)
What abt u?

It seems that ICICI picks people from finance or capital market background,
is there any scope for people from Oil n Gas background???
Since they are taking only 20-21 people in a batch i think they will pick exp ppl in this field???
