One question..How much funds do we have to show at the time of visa....??
Will it include the expenses(Fees+Living) for India course as well or jus the expenses during Canada course...Please let me know if anyone has any idea about this...

I guess if the stay in Canada is of One Year that funds requires to be shown are 80% of tuition Fees + $10,000 as leaving expenses.

in rupee term what is the total cost of mba in india proram? how much is the tution and what is the estimated living cost for the duration of the program?

So you mean total funds to be shown at the time of visa is:

(80% of $30000) + $10000 = $34000...

Please correct me if am wrong...

If $30000 is your tuition fees, than your calculations are correct.

Hello All,

I feel happy to share with you that I received my admission package via DHL yesterday.

I am talking with HDFC / Credilia for Education loan of INR 23 L (CAD 47,000).
There are two options
1) Property papers that needs to be freehold
2) FD worth half the amount you want a loan for. E.g. 10L Fixed Deposit for 20L Loan, the FD will be in in HDFC Limited (and not HDFC Bank).

You need to pay interest as EMI as soon as first batch of money is dispersed from Loan amount to the college @ ~ 14% (floating)

e.g. lets say 3L paid on Jan 5, then in Jan,Feb you need to pay 14% interest on 3L as EMI

In march again 4L needs to be paid to college, then you pay 14 % interest on 7L now as EMI in March, April, June and so on.......

Additionally, you'll need to show sufficient funds in your salary accounts etc to cover your living expenses

I'll apply to Visa as soon as I get the sanciton letter. I hope there is sufficuent time for me to Pay Admission deposit $ 2500 + Loan approval + Visa.

This is Nikhil working at Infosys Ltd for the past 2.5 years. I have given my GMAT(score-690) this September and planning to apply for the MBA in INDIA program for Jan 2012 intake. Ive got to know that the admission deadline has been extended till 22-Nov-2011. Can you please confirm on this?

Also, as I am from India, is it too late for me to apply for this program considering the time involved in Visa matters?

I would also like to know if there is any scope for scholarship as I am applying too late for the program.

Request you to provide any useful information as early as possible.

Hey Nikhil,

The deadline has been extended and you still have time to apply. Having said that do not delay your application as writing the essays and getting recommendations take a considerable amount of time.

The program, MBA in India, starts in Jan 2012 and you would still have time to get the visa.

Just work dedicatedly in putting together your application and all the best :)

Hi Mark/Charmaine,

Between completion of Program (April) & final placement, what do generally students do? Are there oppetunities of doning Internships/Interim jobs.

Answer to this will be a big help in getting a complete picture of the program & life after that.

Well this year, many of those who stayed in Canada, ended up working part time while doing the job search. A couple went home and had a break before starting jobs in September. So it was varied.
Some took a holiday here for a few weeks... Graduation is in June so most full time jobs did not start until July and onward. Hope this is helpful.

I echo Vipul's direction... don't delay get the application submitted, you can always add documents once
you have established with the office that you are applying. Good luck
