From this year they should automatically disable IIM Rohtak in CAT form as soon as one selects General Engineer Male.
It's really disheartening to see so many of my friends with 99.5+ percentile many of whom had New IIMs as their last hope not making it in the first list.
With so much weightage given to diversity, they have made merit a joke and have made almost all GEMs in the range 96-98.5 percentile irrelevant in this competition(even with a great WAT-PI).
I was in the same situation last year where I had scored 97.47 percentile in CAT and had the best interview of my life but could only manage to convert only Baby IIMs. It was really a painful period where I started doubting myself but I guess it was not just the competition from fellow candidates but also the admission criteria of New IIMs or the "system" that made it difficult for me to get in and would continue to do so for all the GEMs out there.
Since there's a lot to come, I sincerely hope and wish that each deserving candidate gets his bit.
Dude IIM Rhotak why do u even let GENERAL ENGINEERS MALE to apply...Why the .... u don't make a girls only college???And why just 15% diversity man????Cummon it's too little for our under privileged girls...It should atleast go to 50%....Merit anyway is not needed in India,so why bother giving those 10-20% seats to the deserved???
What are these Norms which is mentioned in the email where 20000 gets deducted? Does any one have any idea? I thought the norms are as per AICTE where only 1000 will get deducted on withdrawal of admission. Adcom team, please clarify.
Okay guys...So let's have an opinion here..IIM Rhotak gives 35% weightage to CAT and 20% to diversity(15% gender,5% academic). So how does this really pan out??? A male engineer with 99% in CAT(SCALED around150) will have 17.5/35 and 0/20,total 17.5/55....Now let's take the diversity Lords into consideration🙏🙏🙏 .15 free points to girls and 20 free girls non engineers....So even if someone gets 0 in CAT, her score is 0/35 Cat,20/20 diversity, total 20/55...So a girl with 0 marks in CAT has better credentials than a male engineer who got 99% in CAT to be a manager.....Yes this is what IIM Rhotak and other IIMs are telling us now...And we blame politicians only for non-progress of our nation😂😂😂 I hope recruiters are taking note of how students are getting selected in so called top Indian B schools
Just saying, IIM Rohtak and Student of the year 2 releases on the same day. Coincidence ?? :P The movie also has 2 women and one man, 2/3rd majority, and Rohtak...well I need not say what Rohtak has done :P Student of the year 2 comes after Avengers Endgame, Shazam, and what not. Just like ROhtak results come after,...well you know which colleges I am talking about.
I have super massive respect for the GEMs who make it to Rohtak, they surely must be in a league of their own _/\_

(Please correct me if I'm wrong anywhere because honestly, i don't want the reality to be this dreadful)
35% to CAT, 15% to gender diversity, 10% to work ex, 5% to academic diversity, 5% to past acads, 30% to wat and PI
Considering GEM fresher and GEF fresher candidates (forget about academic diversity, reservation, etc for a minute)
It will blow your mind
Considering 95 percentile to be the minimum at which a general category student gets a call
95 percentile = 120 marks in CAT
Lowest total for a GEF out of the 65% excluding WATPI and Academic diversity = (120*35/300) + (15)
= 14 + 15
= 29
Now, for a GEM fresher, gender diversity = 0, work ex = 0
Total CAT score required for him to get a score of 29 = x
29 = x*35/300
x=248
248 marks in CAT to get into IIM Rohtak 😂😂
Nice way to cut short GEM freshers.
Only GEM folks with work ex have a chance.
Better luck next time IIM Rohtak, perhaps you would have got better candidates if you did a bit of math earlier. 😂
Everyone who didn't get a convert even after scoring 99+ and amazing WAT-PI, no need to be depressed, just know that you never had a chance.
