I m a nift aspirant for 2013 nd confused between mdes and mfm.
i m more interested in design course but i also saw on nift's website that placements of mfm are better .Guide me .
@swati710 tz true dat placements of MFM r better dan MDES. u r intrsted in a design course but d fact iz dat MDES is more of a research course abt design rather dan making u a designer wch happens in only in undergraduate courses at nift & not at PG level. u wud also cum across some elements of a design course even in MFM lyk fashion forecasting, detailed fabric knowledge, etc so i feel dat u shud go 4 MFM only..

Hey..i am a nift 2013 MFM aspirant... I need some clear idea about the percentage of questions one should attempt in order to increase one's score... Also, just checked on the nift website that the gat and mat exams have been clubbed into one..Any idea about the expected number of questions.... Please help!!!

@pava wen i appeared 4 my nift entrance there used 2 b separate gat n mat exams..thr were 4 sections viz. english, quants, gk n reasoning. ol d 4 sections used 2 carry equal weightage n thr were thankfully no sectional cut-offs.. since dey hv clubbed mat n gat dis tym as u told i cant be sure abt d new pattern but most probably it shud remain d same only..

@zoozoo23 MFM has a subject cald brand management dat deals wt d issues related 2 branding so obviously MFM is better
@Manseee MAT contains a section cald "vikalpa" dat puts up various situational questions to test ur managerial skills apart from some other questions based on reasoning etc. i think Arihant publications' books about nift entrance test might help in dat though m not sure. I cudnt join ne classes 4 NIFT but i was a student of Career Launcher wch helped me to prepare 4 GD-PIs in general..

@cn22 nift delhi centre waz d 1st one 2 b set up in 1986..dnt hv much idea abt d dates of other nift centres..so far as MFM course is concerned d rank order of d top 3 centres r as follows :-
1. New Delhi
2. Bangalore
3. Mumbai
apart from dese nift hyderabad, kolkata n gandhinagar r also good..
d lowest ranking ones r bhubaneshwar, kannur, kangra, etc
