Hi folks

I would also be appearing for CFA level I in June 07.

I have admits from US B schools and post MBA, I am looking at I-Banking. Do we have a study group in Mumbai among us? I would be interested in being a part of it and taking it forward.

I would like to know whetehr yoou are going through the readings provided by the CFA institute, they are quite short.
secondly, are you studying in a chronological manner, does it matter. for example not doing quant will it affect doing portfolio analysis?

a question to all the people who have registered online. what have you given as your national identification id. and i guess the people who are registering for the 1st time dont have any CFA institute id right.

U Can give your PAN Number as National Identification ID.

There is no need for such things ,this is not a required field also mostly it is there for US citizens to fill i n their social security number.You can leave it blank 😃

he's planning to give Dec'07 level..Do u think the books that u hv will be of any use to him for Dec level..

I am Kshitij Jain and i am from delhi..

I need some advice as to how to go about studying for the cfa test. I do not know much about the test prep and am very confused as to what would be a good reliable source to study from.

I have not regsitered yet and i am planning to take Level 1 Dec' 07.

I want to meet someone from delhi in person and want to clear few of my doubts regarding the course before i get myself registered.

I am willing to share the cost of study material as well.

hey everyone, logging on to PG, and this thread after a really long time...nice to see so much action here! Any mumbai guys here interested in studying together? Im not planning to take the exam anytime soon, but i am quite interested in studying coz i like the topics! Lemme know.

PS: did you guys check out the advertizement in Times of India today? Page 9, i think. CFA institute has run a full-page ad against ICFAI and called it names. 😁 Makes for an interesting read. NOTE: I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THAT WE START ANOTHER UGLY DEBATE OVER ICFAI Vs CFA INST.

I am not sure about Delhi but in Mumbai you can get in between 1800-2300.I am sure there will be palces in Delhi where you can get it (Palika Bazar?)
