ECO-FRIENDLY INSTITUTION
The cornerstone of Mody University's philosophy has been to train hearts and minds to conserve nature's resources, and to learn to live with nature. The endeavour has been to create a peaceful and healthy environment to enable students and staff to concentrate on their academic pursuits.
In 25 years, a piece of desert land with numerous sand dunes has now been transformed into an oasis of 265 acres with vast green lawns, a variety of fountains, extensive flower beds, tree shaded streets and avenues. There are also numerous water bodies and marshland with exotic birds and aquatic animals. Conservation is a major plank of living with nature. Several measures have been implemented for conservation, such as:
- Rainwater harvesting is done to recharge underground aquifers.
- A Sewage Treatment Plant is commissioned to recycle 11 lakh liters of used water daily, and use it for horticulture.
- Drip irrigation and sprinkler irrigation systems are everywhere to reduce consumption of water for irrigation.
- Solar water heating systems are used to conserve electricity.
- Solar photovoltaic systems are being installed as an alternate source of energy.
- 'In House' produced Vermicompost and conventional compost substitute chemical fertilizers for plants, thus promoting organic farming.

- A total of 330 offer letters have been received for 304 students from various companies such as Infosys, Accenture, GE, Senslinq & Ericsson.
- 288 of our students have been awarded B. Tech. degrees in various branches of engineering.
- 5 of our students at the UG & PG level have completed their internship in the world renowned GSI Helmholtz Centre, Darmstadt, Germany. Four Post Graduate students have completed their M. Tech. Project Dissertations work in the GSI Helmholtz Centre.
- GE Foundation, USA, in its second year has awarded scholarships to two of our UG students, one each from Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. These students are to receive scholarships of $4,500 each. The tenure of these scholarships are 2 years.

- Dept. of Physics has been granted an "Academic Funding" of Rs. 8,75,600/- to organize a Refresher course on "Experimental Physics" during 23/12/2018 to 07/01/2019
- This year, School of Liberal Arts & Sciences students undertook their training in reputed organizations like HDFC Bank, Amul, HUL, Idea Cellular, ICICI etc.

CAMPUS VISIT- FACILITATION
Pre-visit Initiatives:
The Institute welcomes and facilitates early Pre-Placement Talks, Presentations, etc. All Job Notifications along with any other related materials provided by the recruiters are displayed on the students’ notice boards.
Students apply against the Recruitment Notifications and their details are provided to the recruiters on an excel sheet. Soft copies of resumes are also forwarded, if so required, through e-mail.
During the Campus Visit:
The Institute’s auditorium is well equipped with the audio-visual facilities for presentations. Adequate space is provided for the written tests that are a part of the selection process. Large halls with every convenience are kept ready solely for this purpose. For online tests, computer labs, fully networked and connected to a 20 Mbps network are provided. More than 200 students can take the online test at a time.
For stay on campus, arrangements are made, on request, at the Institute’s guesthouse that is equipped to provide for every requirement of Institute’s guests. The Institute also arranges for Airport / Railway Station pick-up / drop, if required.

PLACEMENT NORMS
Placement facility is available to all students registered with the Career Development Centre through its registration procedure. Once the placement process is initiated the students may attend the presentations made by different organizations and accordingly make their decision to attend the respective selection process.
There is no restriction on attending multiple selection processes provided that the timings do not coincide. The student may attend processes for any number of organizations until the first offer is secured. Confirmation of the offer may be by way of the selection list being displayed by the organization or through offer letters issued. Once 85% of the students of a particular branch are placed, a second opportunity may be provided.
CDC office takes the responsibility of centrally receiving all offer letters, distribution of the same as well as sending the acceptance letters to the companies.
ASSOCIATIONS
Mody University has entered into several value added associations with several organizations which have resulted in creation of specialized laboratories, introduction of Industry suggested electives, internships as well as scholarships and support towards technical clubs.
