Do MBA. Take CAT and try for institutes like IIM ABC, JBIMS, SP Jain and also IIM LIK, FMS, XLRI
i have cleared the inter level of CA in nov 10 and have been training since. my final attempt will be in nov 13. i took cat 86.18%ile with no prep at all. and i hav got a call from iim-khozikode. 1.should i write my ca qualification in the registration form as my ca is not complete and has two more yrs left in it? 2.how are my chances of getting into iimk? 3.even if i get through iimk, should i wait for next yr prepare well and get a better clg?
well...till the time u sit for examination and through with the clearance, U cant use word CA so u cant write CA in the registration form. Secondly, all the students with 85+ % got call from IIMK...so chances may vary a lot. 3rd, I would suggest u to try next time....as u got 86 without any preparation...u must work on it...u ll prob get some decent IIMs like ABC as well :
I am CA, LLB last year student and working in Deloitte since 1 year. I am going for CAT'12. What you guyz think should me my minimum score to get call from IIM ABCLI

Work for 1 more year and try executive MBA fro ISB or abroad... Dats better, CA degree will count better in that case...
I am an IT guy and wanna get into finance. As I have just 1.5 years of experience, I have a long way to go before I start applying to B-Schools(International B-Schools are my preference).
After getting to know about CFA, I have decided to give it a shot(June 2013). Now my question is that do i, after completing my L1/L2, enjoy the same benefits as the guys who have done their CA L1/L2?

In fact, u will be having better position that those CA L1/L2.....CA is having value only when you have completed it.....In your case, you have 1.5 years of work-ex as well. All the best.
Hi...guys All The Best for CFA exam !!.... Here are some exam tips please read carefully :
o 2 sessions of 3 hrs each: 1st half begins at 9am and you get 120 questions, then 2 hrs break and then 2nd sessions begins at 2pm – 120 questions. Focus equally on both sessions. o No Negative making: 240 multiple choice questions with 3 options, if you don't know an answer eliminate the obviously incorrect answer and make a guess for remaining options. Don't leave any question unmarked. o Don't spend too much time on one question, you should spend approx 1.5 min/question, if you are unable to solve it move ahead. o Don't leave any subject: The passing score is the weighted average score of all the subjects, so you have toprepare for all the subjects. o Score high in Ethics, FSA, Fixed Income & Quants: These are high weighted subjects, and good score in these will increase your chances of clearing the exam. It's compulsory to pass in Ethics to clear the exam.
