The Maharashtra government has brought back its Common Entrance Test (CET) for admissions to MBA/MMS courses in the academic year 2014-15.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), which is responsible for filling management seats in Maharashtra, announced the decision on its website.
The announcement as seen on the official DTE website
As per the notification (posted on DTE's website in Marathi), 85% seats in government and aided colleges, along with 65% in unaided and minority institutes, will be filled using CET scores, while 15% shall be All India seats that will accept scores from CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA and CMAT.
The CET had been scrapped last year after the introduction of the national level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), conducted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
Further details on the dates, procedures and other aspects of CET are awaited.

aftr aplying to mh cet............do we need to apply clgs seprtly????????
As per the dte rules What are the percentage of seats for maharastra candidate and non maharastra candidates? Thanks in advance..
Hey, are OUTSIDE MAHARASTRA students are allowed to give CET?
And also is there any reservation?
Can you please provide the previous MH-CET cutoffs for JBIMS,K G Somaiya,Sydnem,Welinkar,Dalmiya.
Please provide categorical cutoffs ie. SC/ST/OBC/GENERAL
Can someone please clear my doubt, if we want to apply to JBIMS. Do we need to give the MH-CET (Mar 2014) or CMAT (Feb 2014)? It is quite confusing since the notification for both is out.
If we are not a resident of Maharashtra state. Please shed some light. Thanks
Hi, My target is only JBIMS. Since, being an OMS candidate, If I don't get 310+ in CMAT Feb 13, then will I have no chance for GD/PI call? I was interested for MH-CET, but after hearing the news of non-acceptance of this test for OMS, I have lost my hope almost. One reason is, I find MH-CET easier than CMAT (due to paper pattern).
I have heard, even MAT exam score will be of no use for JBIMS, since being used for last cap round. I have given CAT,XAT,IIFT ,SNAP,previous CMAT, NMAT, but chances are not good for best Institutes.SNAP & NMAT were easier; but, I may not get GD/PI Call due to some less marks.
I may join Business/Market Research company, Delhi, soon as I was doing earlier before my resignation for preparation, and start my preparation for next year.
Kindly, help and advice. I am in desaparate position. What should I do?
I will be thankfull.
