KIIT School of Management (KSOM) organized its 8th National#Management Convention on 30th #January, 2015. The theme of this year's convention was "The endless pursuit of winning in the Volatility Uncertainty Complexity Ambiguity (VUCA) #Environment".
KSOM students recently visited Dhamra Port for study tour
Real Estate Management (REM) students in the area of Marketing Management of KIIT School of Management visited Dhamra Port for their study tour on 15th March, 2015 (Sunday). The visit was meant to understand the infrastructure, ware housing and housing provisions of the new automated Dhamra Port; with its deep channels for harbouring of cargo ships; and the emerging needs and issues pertaining to management of it.
We have some great news to share! At KSOM, #placement is going full swing for Class 2015!
Highlights so far:

- Highest #Package of 13.5 Lakhs offered so far- More than 50% of the batch of 2013-15 placed- Multiple #international placements

IN-HOUSE 2015 at KSOM, the biggest intra-campus student festival sees 45 events over 9 days!
KIIT School of Management, Bhubaneswar organized its biggest inter-sectional college event, IN-HOUSE 2015. The event spanned 9 days, 45 events, with several hundred individual and group competitions witnessing participation from as many as 1200 students. The events were divided into the Academic events, Sports events and the Cultural events. The sections had chosen intriguing names for themselves like Ascension, Blitzkrieg, Cruzaders, Dark Knights, Inexorables and D-evils.
The campus wore a festive look with students putting several night outs to decorate the campus in various themes representing their teams. With scores of events scheduled each day, it tested the limits of the students' management acumen for they had to constantly juggle the classes and competitions.

KIIT Entrepreneurship Summit, organized by KIIT #Entrepreneurship Cell between 13th-15th March 2015, in association with KIIT School of Management and KIIT-TBI, was one of its kinds to happen in #Odisha. Students from all over India participated in this event. This summit provided them with panel discussions on topics like 'Problems Faced by#Women Entrepreneurs in #India' and "Is CGPA More Important or Experience".

Summer School Program at Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague!
It gives us great pleasure to annouce that our students Anish Kumar (MBA I) & Rajiv Simon George (MBA I) secured the second position in the first edition of #NCBM, 2015 (National Competition for Budding managers)
The competition, held by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 6th November'15 in New Delhi on the theme 'Unleashing Innovation Across#Tourism - A Mantra For Incredible India', saw students devise strategies for effectively tapping the large pool of global tourists to destination 'India', alongwith an effective action to best implement these strategies.

Meet Aakanksha Ria, MBA, Batch 2016 student at KIIT School of Management. A part of the Student Exchange Programme with Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague, she spent an entire semester at the university. "We'd students from Japan, USA, Turkey, Span, France etc., and the exposure that I gained interacting with the people at the university, really helped me grow personally and professionally." She leaves us on the following note- "Now I can proudly tell my people that I have friends all over the world"
Second year MBA Student at KIIT School of Management, Richie Richa Das, started out her own multi-cuisine restaurant named "The Chulhaa".
Congratulations to her on her venture! Hope she goes on to serve some tasty and 'quality' food, which she delightedly mentions is the USP of her restaurant.
In the month of October, students at KIIT School of Management gathered to celebrate the festive season of the year.
The day started with the event 'Junk Not', which required students to put their creativty hats on and make some meaningful crafts. What followed was a series of entertaining events like mimicry, dumb charades and the much waited Navratri dance.
The colourful evening was a much needed breather for the second year students busy with their placement season on.
