Life at Crescent School of Business (CSB)
Let’s talk about the few interesting thoughts that every student will have before or after joining the college. They would be thinking of placement, quality of education, life that changes them after the completion of their education and so on. I had the same thoughts and so do many of us. The decisions that we take make us more productive or keep us in the confusing stage. Thoughts can be changed but the facility I have seen here made me think straight through the successful piece of art.
People in our society are all ways more unlikable and propel us through the goal which may not be liked by us. But here at CSB, things are totally different from the society and other b-school. CSB helps us to reach our goals in the areas where we like; that can mold each and every Student as the future of upcoming generation. It is not just showcasing but it’s the confidence we receive from CSB.
Here comes Crescent School of Business (CSB), which made me to think through the thoughts of my career path. This B- School is not only showing us the path but also ensures us to get leadership capabilities by interacting with the people from corporate, through which we can gain the at most knowledge and create a network with them.
Time= knowledge in CSB
CSB is a Flexible open book. It lets us learn as much as we can and provide the assistance if needed in our pursuit. Customized courses are available according to our own preferences. We have good infrastructure as well as international faculty for imparting knowledge and outstanding connectivity and interactions, which allow us to gain more expertise in the subjects we like to learn.
What we learn here is mostly what happens in the current industry with real time examples of industry application and knowledge from industry visits. Managerial activities are frequently done to give us a corporate style of exposure. Student’s life might have some common aspects, but when they are grouped together we learn from each individual’s perspective.
CSB transforms an individual to a professional and shows them to learn how to function within the framework of large, diverse groups. We learn independent thinking and the kind of knowledge needed to become an efficient manger and entrepreneurs; without any help of others in this competitive world. CSB life shows students to think for themselves as individuals and supports team work. Independence is a stage of life where students develop their own performances, improving day by day that gives an individual to live the freedom and that is where Crescent school of business (CSB) plays a key role in the success of passion.

In my life I have seen many people, with attitude and pride but all are mostly like are passing clouds but the life in CSB, is never forgettable. Men's hostel at Crescent School of Business
There is a seperate hostel block for CSB and it is exclusively designed for our comfort and to give us a home life feel with modern interiors and all necessary amenities like air conditioning, hot and cold drinking water,etc. We have access to all kinds of sports and there is also a gym with all kinds of modern equipments. The food is good and they provide a balanced diet which will suit everyone and there are seperate mess for veg and non veg. The best part about choosing CSB hostel is for the cleanliness and the wonderful atmosphere.
Crescent School of Business is located within the campus of B S Abdur Rahman institute of Science and Technology. From the moment our freshmen walk into the campus until they graduate they are surrounded by people dedicated to making Crescent “a home.” CSB are well equipped with state of the art infrastructure to impart quality education along with effective integrated technology. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled and equipped with latest computing facilities in accordance with established norms.All modern amenities are provided at every level making it a student friendly campus.
Celebrations at CSB
One of the most interesting things about taking up the PGDM course at CSB is the way they let students to celebrate festivals and organize other technical and non technical events. Students are given full freedom to plan and conduct events. The management and faculty at CSB are very supportive and friendly and they create an environment which is perfect not only for studies but also for improving our management skills.

Crescent School of Business Management Association(CRESMA)
CRESMA is an association at Crescent School of Business were students plan and organize events. At CSB,students are given the freedom to plan and organize all the events including budget for conducting the event. The faculty at CSB are so supportive that they allow us to conduct events, this gives us better exposure and provides a platform were we can enhance our management skills.
We have frequent meetings and the members at CRESMA take the final decision about the event schedules and other aspects that needs coordination.
On 20.01.2020 we attended an event at Madras Management Association (MMA) and the guest speaker of the event was Major General A Arun who is one among the most decorated officers of the Indian Army. He has received many awards like Yudh Seva Medal (YSM), Sena Medal(SM) and Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM). His speech was on the topic “Change is the only dynamic constant”. In his speech he elaborated about change at individual level and how that can result in organizational change. How a change agent should be and why do we need leaders who can impart change so that organizations can withstand changes in the business environment.

Chandrasekaran, Professor, Operations Management, IFMR Graduate School of Management, KREA University, Chennai, as he delivers a Strategic Leadership Lecture on ‘Emerging Trends and Opportunities in Logistics Sector’. The talk will be held at Crescent School of Business, Chennai, on 29 January 2020 at 01.30 PM.
Dr. Arivarasi A., Digital Manager, Probotiq Solutions Pvt. Ltd., will deliver a lecture on ‘Agile Project Management Methodology (Scrum)’ on 29 January 2020 at Crescent School of Business, Chennai. The lecture will commence at 10.30 am. See you there!

Crescent School of Business offers 2-year PGDM program which has 3 trimester per year and so 6 trimester on the whole. The most important thing is here education is completely application oriented and based on understanding on each subjects and evaluating ourselves on each subjects. Students will have an exposure to the current business scenarios and can easily relate to the topics covered in academics. It makes education more interesting and enhance the skills required for Industry. 70% weightage is for the group assignments, projects, presentations etc., and 30% is for written exams. This will make clear about the academic pattern followed in CSB

On behalf of CRESMA, we do conduct club activities to improve our communication, technical and non-technical skills. we work together as a team to improve each other and improve together as a family. This event is EXTEMPORE in which we will be given an on spot topic and each should share their own perspective on that particular topic. This will give a chance to self-evaluate our presence of mind, communication skill, stage fear etc.,

Mr. Vimal Thyagarajan, Founder & Managing Director, Be Positive Training Academy, conducted a special session on ‘The Power of Positive Thinking’ organised by the MMA student chapter of Crescent School of Business, Chennai on January 30, 2020. The session highlighted the importance of positivity for a happy life and a bright future. The session was very interactive and it made us realize the importance of being happy irrespective of how the situations may be.

“Dr. Sunil Kumar Chinnamgari works as GM- Engineering Innovation in Maersk Technology Center, and is responsible for research, open innovation and data products development spanning across Maersk received the 40Under40 Data scientists award and we are proud to say that he is a visiting faculty at CSB.

Mr. Venkatesh Natarajan, Mentor, Veiba Consultancy Chennai conducted a strategic leadership lecture on "Marketing Strategy in a connected world" today (06/02/2020). It was really a thought provoking session which made us realize where do we really stand and what does the industry expecting from us and what we need to develop. He quoted a question "Why you do what you do?". If we know the real meaning behind this question and answer this daily and work on it, definitely we will suceed. A hearty thanks to our Management for bringing him in for us :)
Dr. P. Murugesan, Visiting Professor, LIBA, gave a special lecture on ‘Econometrics for Business’ at Crescent School of Business, Chennai, today (February 07, 2020). He shared his views on current business trend,how economics infuences our lives and benefits of using machine learning in econometrics.
Mr. Venkatesh Natarajan, Mentor, Veiba Consultancy, Chennai, delivered a Strategic leadership Lecture on 'Marketing Strategy in a Connected World’ at CSB, Chennai, on February 06, 2020. The lecture gave us a look into the various marketing strategies that are significant in today’s landscape.
