Ok guys, I have a dilema. and who better to help than the excellent crew at PG.
What would you do in the below situation. Mathlab...which would you choose?
HEC Paris/LSE (London School of Econ) Double Degree Masters. One year at each school with MBA at HEC and second masters of your choice at LSE. Accepted to the program
or
MBA at ISB- Interviewed and waiting word on accepted or not.
Now, my goal after the degree is to work in India anyway, but my most of my family has situated to the states now, so I need the option and availability to attain a good job in the states if needed after graduation.
I am really indifferent to which program I choose, both are great to me. I prefer to be in India, as I have no desire on north america or europe, having been there enough already. But I worry about where I can get the best education???
What would you do if presented with these two options?

Can you tell me more about this double degree...
If u r absolutely hell bent on India then ISB is definitely a better choice assuming fees in $/salary in Rs is a non issue...
Me... LSE is the world's best for economics/finance... Wouldnt even think twice... in comparison with ISB...
HEC is top 10 outside US isnt it...

HEC offers many options to further your education beyond a traditional MBA.

All of the double degree programs are done in 2 years. It is a good option as it can make your degree customized to your needs. There are many schools working with HEC on the double degree's as you can see from the web site, whether doing cross disciplinary or a regional MBA. I see it as a great alternative to studying in the US....but if you still wanted a US education....NYU is one of their partner schools in the double degree. So its like getting the best of both worlds, if this is where you want your career headed.

HEC does rank well outside the US, even as a top five (including US schools) in international MBA's as ranked by the Wall Street Journal. So that shows the school is definitly emerging out of its French only image. MBA rankings can be misinterpreted anyway so its better to look at the school in the scope of your needs, for anyone considering MBA programs...majority of MBA schools in the world are on par with each other now.
Hec is a better chice. this is because ISB has max of its faculty as a " visiting faculy" student teacher bonding is less. Also HEC has a better prg.

Double degree is not too much of help with MBA. Please don't get me wrong as the knowledge the other degree would provide is valuable but if you look in terms of job placements post-MBA, it will not add any significant weightage to your candidature.
My 2 cents.
Education wise i guess both the schools would offer you the best.. ISB with profs coming in from Kellogs, wharton and LBS i m sure would give you the world class perspective...and on the other hand HEC being in top 10 non US bschool would give u that much needed outside classroom learning from different nationalities..
since u wish to persue u r career in india.. i guess ISB would be a better choice ....for most of the recruitments in ISB are for domestic
