Hi,
I am doing pgdfp course from icofp. its a gud course but u ll ve to study hard. As far as placements are concern it depends upon individual capabilities but we have all the top companies like HSBC, Capital IQ, Grail Research, HDFC securities, R System etc.. coming at campus now a days & more than half of the batch is already placed till now..
When i joined this college last year i had similar doubts comparing this with some other financial planning colleges but i have realized ICOFP is far better in comparison to other colleges in terms of faculties, placements & overall industry exposure.
I have got my true value of hard earned money here..

I dont have complete clue about **** & bifm. As far as i know ICoFP is the pioneer institute who started this financial education in india & i have seen their courses rating in India Today as well. They have 80% market share in financial services education.
Last year when i joined icofp i had spoken to **** & bifm alumnis & they did not sound me convincing enough so i joined icofp.
I am v happy with my decision now i have been shortlisted in hsbc & uti mf hopefully i ll get the placement very soon.
manishjindalbhi Saysplss tell me about **** & icofp it is urgent

I think Icofp is best & far ahead as compared to all these colleges. you check their placement records, companies coming at the campus, speak to their alums. You will easily find yourself a lots of difference.

not too many technical questions....i had a non-finance background...they wud ask u the basic questions related to finance...and about your school n college studies...its not 2 tough...just be confident n give the answers....but do study the newspaper and go..dont go wid a blank mind...have some stuff prepared for the interview...:)

i wud advise u to check all the course content from all the websites..then u decide which one is feasible for u....as far as icofp is concerned...the college is excellent..has an awarding faculty...they really teach u well...
Hello monica
I would like to know which course r u doing at ICoFP- 1 yr program or the 2 yr program.
Plz give details of both d progs. along with placements, acad. contents, job profile, etc.
hi, seniors and every one, i hve dnr engg in 2008 batch then was working with oil n gas exploration but quite nt satisfied with the job nd so planning to go for higher studies. got 87%ile in MAT DEC 09, planning to go in finance. so joining 1 year PG diploma (pgdfp) will be worth while, since m from tech back ground. what is the package during the placements i can expect? plz help me since m really confused nd the fee structure is also high for 1 year course. plz help. hve to appear on 27th feb for GD/PI.
(10TH: 76%, 12TH: 65%, ENGG: 76%, LOTS OF NATIONAL LEVEL CURRICULUM CERTIFICATES, 13 MONTHS EXPERIENCE)
this is a gud course....the fees is a bit high...but the faculty is great....u will get to know the subjects very well....package on a average base is 3 lac....do go 4 this institute as its an old one..and is well known in the market....even i have a non-finance background... bt now i have a gud understanding of the subjects.....
these are factual things wich i mentioned...as of regard to ur post...its ur duty to check out the course content....if these are the courses wich u want to apply for...then icofp is the oldest of them all....
hi!!!! i would like to know more about this course , wether a one year course is beneficial or you should go for a two year course. what are the cutoffs in cat/mat for the admission. my another query is wether it is a pure stock market study or finance.
