GLA University, Mathura has organized a laughter blast contest which is from 3-9 march this year. This is a great opportunity for the students to get noticed and win prizes. There are 15 prizes worth Rs500 and more. The content of the contest should be appropriate and expressive to charm the people. It is a good initiative by the college to ease the burden of studies from the students. To participate you just need to send your jokes from your GLA mail id to [email protected]. This type of events reduces the work pressure of the students.
SRM University is always known for its workshops and events. Students of SRM College of Occupational Therapy, had organized a Continuing Occupational Therapy Education(COTE) and Workshop on Fundamentals of Splinting. It was organized on 29th of March,2014. Associate Professor of the Department of Occupational Therapy, Mr Shovan Saha of Manipal University was the guest for the event. It was a great workshop which helped students to know much about splinting and its process, about the latest techniques in it etc.
Enviro Club - "ECOYOUTH" is a club formed by students of SRM University. A friend of mine studying at SRM told me that he is a part of ECOYOUTH and they plan events on regular basis to promote a sustainable environment at the campus. They raise awareness about various environmental issues affecting the society like climatic changes, pollution and enery conservation. Workshops and events like graffitti, products recyling and pottery, etc are arranged for the purpose to increase participation. I found this attempt of SRM students very inspiring.
