I thank you for your interest in SIBM. We currently do not offer an MBA in Entrepreurship. All MBA students of our institute are eligible for placement assistance.

I Am Interested in doing am MBA from SIBM ,Presently am managing a Wire drawing unit and have been running it by myself . I am a Btech graduate having specialised in Electronics and Electrical Engineering . What I would like to know is does MBA in Entrepreneurship disqualify my chance of getting placement from the college ?

Respected Prof Deb,I just wish you thank for you kind gesture of actively replying to all the queries posted in the thread.With the number of MBA aspirants soaring in number it is getting a lot easier for unscrupulous elements in the society to mislead innocent students. Respected sir,
I am fresh gradute from delhi university from the field of zoology honours.
but i have been very actively involved in extra curricular activities in college.
To name a few:
a) i was the convenor of the debating society in college.
b) a permanent member of the zoology deptt comittee.
c) a correspondent for the college newsletter.
d) and actively participated in inter college and international debating events.
ALSO, my academic performance has been:
>91.2% in 10th
>80.4% in 12th.
>60.7%in graduation

my queries are:
1) will i be considered for admission in SIBM?
2) also what is the likely cut off for the new sibm campus in bangalore?
3) can we apply to both sibm pune and bangalore through the same prospectus?
4) like u mentioned earlier that you will be looking at the sectional cut offs, so could you please throw somelight on what are the expected cutt offs in maths and di, logical reasoning, english and also will there be a cut off for g.k?

I thank you for your interest in SIBM. You have a lot of queries but I believe that most of it is already answered in the previous queries, but let me refresh:

1. You are eligible to apply at SIBM
2. There is no definite mark for SIBM, Bangalore, it will be entirely based on the overall students' performance
3. Yes, the prospectus remains the same, Pune or Bangalore will be decided during the final interview
4. The expected cutoffs cannot be predicted now, it will entirely depend on the overall students' performance

Hi,
One of the methods of evaluation was essays, but it has been discontinued now. Your procedure for admissions will remain as per the prospectus you have received.

sorry sounding so vague last time.

regarding the application form:
i read in one of the interviews that the students are also judged from their application essays..(which i took as SoPs)

unfortunately i did not find any mention of the essays in the prospectus...and
i hv already dispatched my application form...

so cld u please tell me if ther s any essay or biosketch of any sort to be submitted at the time of applying to the institute.

if yes, as i hv already posted the form...what shld i do ?

I planning for a course in SIBM that will help me in pursuing my career as a Business Analyst. Dear Sir, what are my chances of getting selected if I manage a decent score.
Details of my academic qualification
10th std: 80%
12th std: 72%
Graduation (B.Pharm): 70%

Hi Abhinav,
I thank you for your interest in SIBM. From your profile you seen to like your job and am looking our to add to your qualifications. SIBM can offer you 2 alternatives, one is a full-time 2 year MBA and the other is an Executive MBA program which is part-time or week-end. You can take your call as you will have to shift to Pune.

As far as the full-time MBA program goes, I believe the chances are better this year for our applicants as we have about 300 seats to offer this year (Pune and Bangalore combined) against 180 last year.

First of all I would like to thank you a million for patiently answering all our quires. You have been magnanimous till now. I am a 2007 B.Tech graduate in the field of computers placed in WIPRO. I had an opportunity to visit Microsoft, Redmond, USA in my third year representing INDIA in a world wide competition. It was a fully sponsored trip by Microsoft. My academic scores are
X(cbse) - 70%
Intermediate - 94%
B.tech - 68%
My questions are:-
1) What is the possibility of me getting through the PI competing with experienced elders?
2)If every thing goes well, when(date) will SIBM display its finally selected students list?
3)As SIBM Bangalore is a new campus, what is the probability of the same or better campus placements in Bangalore?
4)Remembering the saying 'one who asks a question may be a fool for a minute but who doesn't ask remains fool forever!!!' my last question is that, Is there a gym facility in both the campuses?

As MBA is my long term dream, I'm looking forward to pursue it from a renown college like SIBM. Hoping for the best and waiting for the reply.....
