hey.. if u can afford the fee.. then i tihink amity is worth it.. it had good placements last year.. i got thru ... b took admissions.. bu don go on wat i say.... do ur research propely.. n then come t a conclusion.... hope t se u there....

Heard that amity 1600 student intake for MBA god knows what the college is going to be like ? and on the other hand gdgwi lancaster has just been established a year back but the campus seems to be great and so does the study atmosphere ?
An early response will be highly appreciated because of the fee submission deadlines .

Well Aakash ..a piece of advice for u and for my fellow ppl arund with questions buzzing bout joinin Amity I.B. u wont get more experienced person than me in this forum ACTUALLY to comment on this. I did join Amity I.B And left it after 1st sem. reason :In amity its only that the books are good and have enuf knowledge to provide u to become a good MBA and thats obvious. But the teachers a sickening ~ sm have accent issue some have communication issues and lack knowledge at some point. All that they do is " bhangra" . I not only found teachers weird but the crown was too show offy and all Punjabi's having fun!! Girls only nd only know how to straighten their hair @ 6 in the morning and put makeup and all for 8 o clock class.. sad!! environment!!
And rest bout ur Lancaster option.. i think going to U.K wasting so much of money in ur travel and accommodations and living just for the sake of good campus!?? hmm sounds lil dumb! so until and unless u don't consider money like "khoon paaseeney ki keemat" u can go for any of the 2 options u 've . :biggrin:
I have 3 and a half years of experience in Software testing domain with reputed companies. I am currently withdrawing salary of 4.7 lacs per annum. Can anyone tell me about the average salary grabbed by experienced students at Amity? Would I be able to get a good jump, If I pursue MBA program through Amity Noida? I have heared that average packages are not good at amity. As i already have good package, i wanna know the normal trend so that I can accordingly make decision.

Dear akash, I know since u are stuck in a dilemma between the two B-Schools..its quite normal for u to get a bit skeptical with the fact dat how a col like AMITY INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SCHOOL..dat houses around 1000s of students..wud be the best fit for u..?
buddy i m myself a recent pass out of the batch..n i think..i personally took the right decision by joining AMITY..it has a big brand name..n not even a single student can deny the fact that companies..do not turn up for the campus placements..companies do come in bulk..!!
With the personal experience of myn..i wud say AMITY is as best as u make it..I joined it two years back..n yes i m placed at bajaj allianz..pune at a package of 6 lacs(Perhaps the highest till date in the batch of 2009)..so i cant really promise u abt an average package at AMITY..but u wud definetely get placed..if u can speak well..n u are good academics..
join the col..if u think..u have the capability of outperforming others..:)best of luck...:)

Dear Amita Gulia, There is nothing called as an average package at AMITY..u can make it s good as possible..but mam..since u already have an experience of more than three years..n u r getting a decent package..i wud nt advise u to leave the job and join amity..
But even den if wanna join..derz no problem..placements at amity..depend a lot on ur personal capability and mettle..i am a recent pass out of the batch..n i m placed at 6 lacs..but then again u cant generalise the package..because..till date my package in the batch is highest..(m talking about my 2009-11 batch)..join it ..if u think u want to make it big...!! but do not ask for a general package.. i hope the info wud have been slightly relevant for u...:)

Amity International business school..is beyond a doubt..a good institute..between it is as good as u make it..I am a recent pass out from the col..n i have got placed at bajaj allianz..at a package of 6 lacs..but den do not take the package to be the average one..because..i m till date placed at the highest package of my batch of 2009-11...n the companies are still coming to d campus..
In d meanwhile..if u r really good at studies..amity makes sure to tap the best out of it..I got the merit scholarship of around..1 lac 22 thousand for being amongst the Top three of the batch...dese r the positives...
although..its also a challenge for u to get placed cuz..u wud face heavy competition..I personally love the col..cuz..the placement coordinators..work really hard...and yes..plss do not form the conception dat taking admission into amity wud place u..the col just provides u a platform ..juss aplatform..rest depends upon ur own calibre..all d best..:)
hey friends.. i would like to take admission in amity noida. i have almost 99%ile in MAT. i am interested in operations specialization. i would like to know if operations specialization is available in amity. how good is the course and placements. should i apply for it (ie under MBA general i think).

Hi...congrats for such a gr8 score in MAT..Talking about AMITY INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SCHOOL..it does provide you a dual specialisation..but no..specialisation of OPERATIONS is available..although we study both Operation research and Operation Management in our 2nd and 3RD sem..:)

Selection procedure of Amity Sucks !! I will tell you my own experience , me & my friend went their for mba exam. He got less marks than me in 10,12 & as so in graduation(48%). on other hand i got I division in all of them. We both have not appeared for MAT. Written exam & essay writing was great but at interview, it totally depends on their mood. Even i got 1 yr work ex. & they say they wil give preference to Work -ex bull shit ! ..I got rejected & my frnd got accepted . There were many rooms for PI , all of them were hardly asking any subject related question but in 1 room they were totally asking deep about what you study & asking definitions. In my PI room they were taking 20 min for each student, & in all other rooms each student was coming out after 2-3 mins.
