Me :: No mam ! Did not have to wait for long. Also completed my Breakfast and Acad Verification in the meantime. Heard that "Essays pe questions hai."
L :: Don't lie, you must have been here for more than 3hrs. O'course we will ask you on essays ! Why do you think we made you write then ?

There were 2 profs (say P1 and P2)
P1: old guy, asked most of the questions
P2: Young one, really nice guy
Both Profs were really gud, made me feel comfortable the moment I entered the room. I was the last in my panel and was worried what if they are already exhausted and will not take interest in my interview. But they proved me wrong. They were smiling throughout the interview and listening to me enthusiastically.
Let's move to question part.
Greetings exchanged.
P1: Ok, so u r from Odisha. Tell me something unique about Naveen pattnaik that no one in this world has.
Me: (Naveen pattnaik here again!!!😁, was asked about him in IIM-L interview. At that moment nothing was coming to my mind). Sorry Sir, I do not know anything about him which no one in this world has.
P1: (with a wide grin) He has been CM for so long, 10 years (Here I corrected him, said he is going to end his 3rd term soon😉) but cant speak Oriya.
P2 was really curious, I think he did not know about this.
Me: (Got into self-defense mood). Said that publicly he may not be using Oriya, but in one-to-one conversation he uses it. Gave example how I had met him a few years back and he spoke in our mother-tongue. Told that few years back Sonia Gandhi was not able to speak in Hindi, so I have not considered it to be his unique quality.
P2: What was the occasion when you had met him?
Me:Told
P1: Thats ok. So do you think he is a good leader?
Me: (Really do not understand IIM prof's obsession with Naveen pattanik. 😲Was asked if we should make him PM in IIML interview, was prepared for this question but was never asked) Gave some gyan on how Odisha is growing. Mentioned about state capital and how it is considered as one of the best city among tier-2 cities. Gave example of how IT industry has developed in my city.
P1: What all IT companies are present in BBSR?
Me: mentioned a few.
P1: So you are from BBSR TCS?
Me: No, I am working in Bangalore now.
P1: TCS has removed you from your comfort zone and put you in another city? (smiling a lot)
Me: No Sir, I have chosen Bangalore
P1: Why do you want to stay away from your own family?
Me: Mentioned that a few of my relatives are living here. So I do not feel like I am away from my family. (P1 gave me a smile and a nod)
P1: What all challenges Odisha is facing which is hindering its growth?
Me: Mentioned about POSCO, Vedanata, coal mining scam. They asked a few question about these issues. Answered everything. They seemed to be satisfied ( or was it me imagining??😉)
P2: Tell me something unique about yourself.
Me: My name sir. (my first name + my middle name = a unique combination of name) explained it with a big smile on my face.
P2: (started laughing) Thats a good one.
P2: Tell some recent news that have caught your attention, other than AAP and Telengana.
Me: Mentioned about a credit card fiasco that happened in South Korea recently.(They were completely unaware of it) Mentioned as I work in credit card industry and it was about a security breach by an employee, so it is of great importance to me.
P1: That is a big issue then. How does TCS maintain security.
Me: Mentioned about the mail restriction and access restriction we have. Was asked a lot of cross-questions on this, could answer all. Do not know if they are completely satisfied.
P2: Any recent book you have read?
Me : (Was about to answer but P1 asked another question immediately)
P1: So you are a Odishi dancer?
Me: Yes sir. Mentioned about my formal training and stage performances.
P2: You are telling something about the book?
Me: Mentioned about one book. Thankfully was not asked any other question on that.
P1: Tell me about your family.
Me:Told.
P2:What all other calls you have?
Me: Sir I have calls from all IIMS.
P2: Good
P2: What are your future plans?
Me: Started with my short term goal. P2 interrupted me and asked about my long term plans.
Me: mentioned my goal and how I would like to get associated with some NGO and work for society. Mentioned about a few people from IT industry and how they are engaged in philanthropy.
P1: In that case you should move to politics, you will get more chance there
Me: Sir I am not made for politics. I do not want to be second Rahul Gandhi in politics. (was contemplating whether to say it or not for a few seconds, but finally said it)
P1: why?
Me: gave some gyan on why I have used his name
P1&P2; exchanged glances and said we are done. Any question for us?
Me: (was not prepared for this question, how DUMB I am!!!!!😠, was about to say no sir and suddenly something came to my mind) and asked about case studies method and how it will impact a student's education.
P1: explained a lot with examples
P1 and P2 : we are done with the interview. You may leave. All the best for your future.
(But NO TOFFEE offered 😟 I had seen a lot of guys enjoying their toffees happily)
Rate your preparation(0-5): 2

Any other relevant detail.
It was a chilled interview and mostly about I, ME and MYSELF. Well I have mentioned most of the questions though not in actual order. I will suggest to smile a lot and if you can make the profs smile/laugh it will be upto your advantage.

P1: tell me what you do at XX, you have already written in the form, but we would like to hear from you!
Me: told, for about a min
P2: ok, tell us something about your latest project
Me: told,
P1: Summarized what I told and asked whether he is correct!
Me: yes sir,
P1: You're an EC guy, and you are working in SW, do you use your learnings from engg here
Me: used some Gnyan, said, the logical analysis part is very much useful, but we don't use the core concepts,
P1: okay, then there must be lot of things you have learnt on your own, yes there will be trainings and all but still!!!
Me: yes sir,
P1: are you still learning things on your own?
Me: yes, gave some examples
P1: looked convinced
P1: Is that true that engg. Graduates learn less from professors and more from friends!!
P2: was looking into my file, suddenly intervened and said, “AND NOTHING FROM SYLLABUS” …
(They were cracking jokes for some time and meanwhile they forgot that question)
P2: so you are from XXX, ADILABAD dist!!
Me: yes sir,
P2: where is it? (P1: how long from Bangalore?)
Me: told, (P1 asked few more questions, we had a bit of discussion)
P2: looked a bit convinced and bit confused … so, historically it is very prominent place!
Me: yes sir,
P2: who is the famous king from ADB?
Me: there is no famous king sir, but there is famous freedom fighter..
P2: but, I heard it is named after ADIL SHAW
Me: yes sir, but by then ADB was part of his kingdom
P2: Bijapur right!!!
Me: yes sir, Bijapur, Aurangabad, and Telangana were part of that kingdom.. And that Capital was shifted between Hyd, AB and BP...
P2: okay, that history is little bit confusing, leave it
P2: who is more educated!! (You know little Hindi right?, and I said yes), angota waala or Bangalore waala?
Me: given some funda ( few more qustions .. )
P2: compare your village and Bangalore village?
Me: okay, life in my village and Bangalore city!!
P2: No, even Bangalore is a village for me..
P: okay sir, Human relations are good in villages, there are about 1000 people in my village, and I know every one of them
P2: and you don't know even your neighbor in Bangalore!!
Me: not exactly sir, I know them, but still not convincing enough, relatively relations in cities don't last long enough
P2: then,
Me: Social life is good in my village
P2: but Social network is good in Bangalore
Me: yes sir,
P2: but there are these 3G, 4G superfast internets in your place also
Me: no sir, not yet, only 2G nw as of now, even that is not good enough
P2 : then
Me: climate is good in my village,
P2: but it's too hot and humid there, 45, 50 degrees ..
Me: yes sir, it sometime touches even 55 deg , but if I compare with Hyderabad, it's more or less the same .. But long power cuts is serious concern in villages, esp in summer
P2: how is it now?
Me: they have already started 6AM – 6PM power cut..
P2: okay, how many power stations are there in AP?
Me: sir, there is one in Vizag, VTPS
P2: nature!!

P2: Hydro!!
Me: yes sir.
P2: tell me in northern part of AP?
Me: Sir, there is one in Ramagundam, NTPC plant .. Actually there is a coal belt from Adilabad to Khammam, so there is KTPS, and one in Bhoopala plally along it
P2: okay Mraket your Village
Me: sir there are some negatives, but…
P2: you will say there are some defects in my product!!!
Me: No sir, actually I meant to say there are some negatives, but obviously I can't disscuss them
P2: okay, you are giving honest opinion to me, alright.
Me: yes sir, obviously I can't be too honest
P2: so, you mean to say, all this marketing is about bluffing and bluffing!!
Me: Not exactly sir, but still there would be few things which must be hidden
P2: man, you are giving too bold statements, if you get it into the insti, all the marketing professors will be after you
Me: then probably I have few things to learn immediately, and I'll do that sir.
P2: it's alright, you looked hurried towards the end of write up, and you want to add anything to it?

P2: you can take time; can you implement any concept from your engg courses to address these issues?(on WAT Topic)
Me: sure sir, but I may need some time
P2: ya ya sure,
(After few seconds)
Me: given some idea, and said it has its own demerits, esp. in implementation

P1: but, how about your medication, you said your area is not developed!!
Me: yes sir, I was actually treated here in Bangalore, but at the time of discharge they asked me to take complete rest for 15-20 days, so I went home
P1: yeah, at home you must have followed the matches!
Me: But sir, power cut from 6AM – 6PM
P2: you are confusing me man, are you fine now!
Me: yes sir, completely cured
P2: you joined back?
Me: yes sir,
P1: where will you see yourself after 10 years?

There were 2 profs.
P1: So Aman, what do you do in your company?
Me: Explained my role, my client and my key responsibilities(Reporting PnL, financial analytics)
P1: As I understand, most of the costs you bear must be over head costs. Then why do you need daily PnL reports?
Me: I will correct myself a little here Sir. By daily PnL, I mean the operating PnL of the company. Tracking the margins will help the company in understanding how well it is buying and selling products.
P1: So your revenue stream will come out of selling products, what are your costs?
Me: Explained the entire PnL structure. Various revenue and cost headers, non product revenue and meaning and significance of different levels of margins.
P1: So I have noticed that on your website, the same product has different prices during the course of the day and also the prices for the same product could be different for different customers. Why is it so?
Me: Explained the concept of pricing, competitive positioning etc.
P2: (Was reading my form till now). So who are your major competitors?
Me: Mentioned all the competitors based on product categories each sells.
P2: Are any of the competitors profitable?
Me: Said no. Explained the seed phase of the e commerce market in the country, how there is tremendous potential for growth and the present focus on capturing the market. How investors are cognizant of this and are willing to put in cash. Also explained how companies are moving towards more sustainable models like marketplace, thought a discussion will ensue but did not happen.
P1: Have you done analysis where you observed the movement of sales with a decrease in discount.
Me: Told that I have never worked on this, but spoke about teams which look into this. Explained the concept of pricing experiments and determination of head/ tail products in catalog and how they are senstive/ insensitive to pricing. But did not have any information on specific numbers.
P2: So what do you do for fun?
Me Ma'am I like to run, explained how I started 1.5 years back, spoke a little bit about the events i participated in. Also spoke about 2 100K walks I walked in.
P2: Tell me more about it.
Me: Ma'am you may have heard of Oxfam.
P2: Actually I have not, can you please tell me more.
Me: Explained the role of oxfam, their core values of promoting justice and equality. Told about their fund raising, that oxfam india trailwalker is a key fund raising event for them and in my two walks my team and I raised close to 1Lakh INR for the events.
P2: Is it something like sponsoring a kilometer?
Me: Something like that ma'am, but teams try different ways to raise money.(Thought a deeper discussion will follow but it did not)
P1: When WTO was formed in 1995, Oxfam opposed it. Do you know why?
Me: No Sir. Although if you don't mind, I will like to take a guess.
P1: Sure
Me: Explained how organizations like WTO, IMF are typically under the stronghold of western nations and actually end up working against the equitable distribution of resources. Thought this could be a possible reason, but summed it up by saying that I am not aware of the specifics.
P1: So what is your opinion of NGO's? are they radical in their methods, take green peace and oxfam for example.
Me: Explained how their methods are not radical given that the causes they support are not radical, told I support the initiatives of green peace financially and that they are doing a good job etc.(I am not at all satisfied with the answer, feel it ended up being on the surface completely)
P1: What about Aam Admi Party? Are their methods radical, are they into governance or activism?
Me: Spoke a little about my lack of faith in their jumping ships too often. Told about their method of governance lacking force, how they are trying to mix things up too much. Spoke a little about kejriwal(not very positive, so AAP supporters, please pardon me :). But was cut off in between. )
P1: What do you know of Anna Hazare? and who is he supporting now?
Me: Told about his Army background, how he came and worked for community, that he is a simple and single person( I feel it ended up being extremely fact based, should have spoken more on this. But was interrupted). Told last I heard, he was showing signs of supporting BJP.
P1: Something else has come up in Today's paper.
Me: I did not get a chance to see the paper sir.
P1: He is supporting Mamta Bannerjee.
Me: (Was genuinely surprised) Said OK.
P1: Do you think being single is the route to political success in the country?
Me: (Smiled on the question, and I regret a little to how I began answering it.😠 Wanted to speak about how this was modi's latest statement in the media and how i disagree with it). Sir, I understand where this is coming from, Mr. Modi has recently made this statement in the media. We have another example of a great leader who was single, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. (Interrupted)
P2: Are these the only 2 leaders who are/ were single?
Me: (Was caught for a minute, started thinking on the national level who is single)
P2: Maybe some women leaders.
Me: (Sudden realization to look to the states) Yes ma'am there is Mamta bannerjee, Mayawati. Mentioned about Jayalalitha, but retraced my words saying she was married earlier.
P1: You are missing someone very important in the media now.
Me:(Sudden realization again) Rahul Gandhi.
P1: So do you think being single is the route to success?
Me: Spoke at length about how this is a gross generalization made my media that corruption is for family, spoke about the role of family and how you need political will, vision and the ability to drive people with you to do something good for the country and your family can actually support you getting their. (Do no feel very satisfied with the answer. Again ended up saying things on the surface.)
P1 and P2: That will be all Aman. Thank you. Please take a candy.
Me: Thank you ma'am, sir.

Plus I was a little nervous and I could feel that the panel could notice it too. No questions on the essay or the advertisement I had chosen/ academics/ long or short term goals. Do not know what to make of it.

Essay Topic and brief snapshot of how you went about it:
Case study on Right to Education Act 2009 and discuss on one/two challenges
The international historic event that influenced you
Really I could produce some good points in case study and could discuss the challenges and how government can implement this Act by overcoming these challenges. (5 mins I noted down points to write in rough sheet and 15 mins spent on case study).
Essay seems to be easy topic so I could complete in 10 mins.

PI:
There were 2 professors. One male professor of about 50+ age (M). One foreign lady professor (L). Seems she is a visiting faculty and could be from US by her ascent. I was the last person in my panel. After my performance in case study and essay I was confident and I was cool waiting for my turn. At last L called me and I greeted both of them and our interview started.
Please bear with me here. I think they didn't grill me much, though it was the very long interview of about 30 minutes.
M: It seems u r working in Accenture. Do you know the history of it and who started it?
Me: Told about Arthur Anderson and the split in 1989 as Anderson consulting and Arthur anderson consulting. Anderson consulting became Accenture later.
M: Why did they split?
Me: Conflict between the executives
L: What Arthur Anderson Consulting doing now?
Me: Management Consulting
L: Are they not doing audit?
Me: I am not sure about Arthur Anderson Consulting ma'am
M: What is ur job role in Accenture?
Me: Told abt Oracle Tech. consultant. How I am doing technical configuration for business solutions to existing ERP system and all those stuffs.
M: Are u loving ur job?
Me: Yes sir.
L: Why are u loving it?
Me: Told abt innovative thoughts and analytical skills.
M: Everybody saying this. How u r relating this to ur job? Can you explain me.
Me: Basically ERP is existing package software. Whenever customer asks for new requirements and when new business solution comes, I need to analyse whether the existing system can accommodate the change or I need to think of customization and which technology can accommodate the changes and explained further.. This will trigger my ideas. (Seemed they are convinced)
L: Can you explain abt ur B.tech main project?
Me: (Totally didn't remember. But tried to recollect what we did and explained her.) Explained abt cluster formation on trust based mechanism in networks.
L: Asked further abt hardware and all.
Me: Explained her.
M: What is ur interest in B.Tech?
Me: I told him that I was not interested in B.Tech. I compelled myself to study B.Tech because of family situation, responsibilities and security and all. Also told that now it becomes trend in India that do ur engineering first and then think abt future goals. I am also victim of it.
L: But you told u love ur job (How easily they are trapping me? 😞 )
M: So u r saying even B.Com students can do this job?
Me: Yes Sir. That's actually happening in IT companies sir 😃
M: You told u did B.Tech under compulsion. If no compulsion what you would have done.
Me: Medicine.
M & L & me discussed abt medicine cost, no of govt. seats in India and all.
M: What if tomorrow u tell that the job I am doing and MBA is not at all related. So why MBA and laughed.
Me: Told that everything happened till now not actually happened as I planned. Till now what I did is for my family. Now I need the concrete career path. So I would like to pursue my interest from here on.
L: What do u want to do in MBA?
Me: Told abt the consulting job and its roles and all.
L: Why could you not do in Health and operations as your interests are in medicine? (always trapping me😠😠)
Me: I am bit mature now. I know what I need now. I want do be a consultant to interact with customer and provide business solutions. Now I am open to domains. If I get opportunity in health I ll do that also.
Seemed both are convinced.
M: What will do in u r free time?
Me: I ll travel to my village each weekend. Spend time over there, etc etc...
M: Then you could be the respected person in ur village now. How r u helping the people over there?
Me: Told like i am the roll model for youth over there. When I first entered my college I don't even know what is internet, IITs, IIMs and so many things. It became very tough for me to compete with other students. Now I am helping people to know abt the other part of the world and how I overcame it and what should they know before entering into college and all those stuffs.
L: Great. Ok u r part of NSS in college. Can u explain abt it?
Me: I told abt my service in 4 years. Also told abt one of the camps which I organized and what we did in that camp and all those things.
M: What are your thoughts on RTE and the challenges? (This was abt my case study)
Me: Listed down the challenges one by one and explained them clearly.
L: What is ur opinion on recent issue on Rajiv Gandhi and Jaya Lalitha releasing those convicts? (Really surprised that the foreign lady speaking abt Indian politics that too Jayalalitha😲😲)
Me: Explained abt how Jaya used this as an opportunity for vote bank. If the result goes in favour or against her she will be gainer out of it.
L: Why tamil people r supporting her?
Me: Tamil people are emotional over der language, land and people.
M: But they killed our PM.
Me: Yes sir. I have respect towards my state and people. In this case I am opposing the move which Jaya has taken. (I think they are ok wit my answer)
L: What will you do when u r happy?
Me: I will sing loud and dance.
L: What kind of dance?
Me: I will dance whatever I feel. In most cases it is folk. 😃
Both were laughing.
M & L: Do u want to ask anything?
Me: How is ur experience in IIM-A?
M: Pretty good. We will meet if you come der.
Then both laughed.
Me: I am eagerly waiting for that.
M: Take toffee.
I took one. L asked me take biscuit. I took it. Again M asked me to take one more saying u might be hungry. I laughed and took one more and said thank u and moved out of room.

More than an interview we were like discussing things. I made sure that all were laughing throughout the interview. I also told few jokes and examples wherever possible. Even though my communication skills is not very much good, I conveyed my thoughts clearly. The professors are there to help you and they are paying attention to each and every word you are speaking. Make eye contact with all the professors while answering.

PI: Questions and snapshot of answers:
Two professors in the panel. Both seemed to be very nice. I entered, gave the file and sat down. Was nervous as I was the first guy to go in 😛
P1: There is nothing to be nervous. Just relax(for which I smiled)
P2: (Took his time to go through my certificates) and then asked to talk about one of the certificate which was unique to my school.
Me: Answered. Discussion around it went on for some time.
P2: You have nearly two years' experience. Tell me about the work you do
Me: Told him in detail
P2: So the company is in Chennai or Bangalore?
Me: It is in both the places but I work out of Bangalore
P1: So tell me about the case study RTE act. What is your opinion about the implementation
Me: Told that the government doesn't provide the funds that are allocated on time and so it leads to unhappy school administrators. Plus 25% of the seats are for the RTE people. They are losing it out on the monetary incentive for those seats. Donations and capitations are also affected for those seats.
P2: The school can increase the seats right. That can be the best solution.??
Me: It is the 25% that matters sir. Even if you increase the seat, it is in percentage so some seats will still go for this act. Moreover, the school's resource may not be enough for that many students. They need to improve the infrastructure and again that needs investment.
P1: So tell me about yourself? What are the things that define you?
P2: I will amplify that question. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Me: Told them with examples(was prepared for this J)
P1: Tell me some current affairs that caught your eye apart from AAP and Telangana.
Me: (Got blank for a second even though I prepared this) Then told about the Khobragade issue.
P1: What do you think about it?
Me: (One has to take a stand here)I feel that the US people followed their law and did according to that. Indians might have over reacted. The servant comes under the Indian system…
P1: (interrupted me here) No that is wrong
Me: Yes but that is what the Government is claiming. So it is
P1:So should we have any labour laws in India.? Why aren't people doing their own work at home? Why are they being paid so less? Or should the market price determine the wages?
Me: (Took some time to think). In India, there are chances that might not work. If a slab of price is set, then people might be discouraged to hire or if the slab is fixed independent of the inflation, again problem will arise. (then some sort of examples. Discussion went for sometime)
P2: What do you want to do in your life? (ultimate goal)
Me: I want to do give back to the society…
P1: Have you done anything so far?
Me: Yes i have. I was a part of a free eye check up camp and …
P2: Which organization took part in it?
Me: It was Arvind eye Hospital along with my school
P2: How many times have you been to that Hospital?
Me: Only once
P2: You are from Madurai. Arvind eye hospital is one of the important organization there. Tell me something special about it
Me: They are very true in what they do. Very caring to the patients. They have good facilities.
P2: So what about the medical cost?
Me: It is at the right amount. If people cannot afford, there is a trust that provides free medical assistance.
P2: Who is the founder of Arvind Eye Hospital?
Me: (This is where I was caught) Mr.G………..Venkata……”Narayanaswamy”
P2:It is Dr.G.Venkataswamy
Me:(I was this close) Sorry about getting the name wrong sir.
P1: Tell me who is your role model apart from your family members?
Me: (Got blanked out for a second because of the randomness of the question..i took some time)I always admired Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam. Infact I received one of my awards from his hand. He is from a simple background but rose to become the President of the Country. His speeches captures your attention yet it will be in the simplest of language.
P2: So have you read any of his book?
Me:(Was caught again
) I started on the Wings of Fire but never finished it.😟P2: It is a good book. If you start you can never put down the book.
me: I am never good in completing the non-fiction sir though I start reading it. But I read a lot of fiction books and novels.
P1: (laughing)But in IIMs you have a lot of non-fiction stuff. How are you going to read it.. Lot of finance, economics etc.
Me: (smiling)In college, I have gone through text books. So it shouldn't be a problem. Will manage it for sure.
P1: Tell me one thing that you want to change in India..or rather if you were made the Prime Minister for a day, what would you have done for the country?
Me: Corruption is a big problem.
P1: No, more than that growth is a bigger problem…
Me: Sir, If it is possible in one day, will try to increase the spending for infrastructure industry. Also mining industry affects the GDP more than the other industry. So first I will try to set right the irregularities in that. For example, coal block allocation will be my first priority. There are no benefit in filing cases against the companies. This must be set right..
P2: So what do you do on the weekends? What do you do in your free time?
Me: I read novels, sometime hang out with friends. But if I get a chance I organize short trekking trips. After a long time, I planned a trip to Western ghats towards the Chikmaglur side for a short trek. My friends were inexperienced so planned a simple one with a resort so that they can enjoy as well.
P1: Ok we are done. I wish you all the best. Before that do you have any questions.?
Me: (Took sometime) No sir..(should I have asked one? With alumni fb pages, pagalguy forums, I couldn't think of anything!)
I turned back to leave..but then realized my file was with them..
Can I take my file, Sir?
P2: Of course….
P1: Take a chocolate also..
Me: Took a chocolate and then thanked both and left smiling…

Case Study: Should India go ahead and make Green Building practice mandatory. Wrote about rural, tier 2 and urban landscapes.
Essay: Most inspiring advertisement, i have ever come across. Wrote about "save electricity" by GE. Power of simplicity and brevity.
1. So XXX, you work in XYZ company. What are you working on?
M: talked about current work and project
1. ok i am not a technical guy but i have heard of this TCP/IP. what is it and is it going obsolete?
M: it is an internet protocol and it is not getting obsolete. in fact, now we are in the process of upgrading the IP from version 4 to version 6. v6 will be much better and more secure
2: i am just a layman here. suppose i am in 10th class, how will you explain this networking thing to me.
M: (some gyaan)
2. but i don't know all this. explain it to me
M: so if you are using a computer, your web browser or any application that you are using is actually the application layer.
2. But i am in 10th class.
M: tried to explain it using some analogy
1. so earlier we used to have letters and everything but we never had so many protocols. why do we need that.
M. there are basically 3 reasons for that. the traffic on the internet is huge these days. we have so much data. we need to make sure that data is received by the person whom it is intended for. and we need to deliver it quickly.
1. but we had huge data earlier also.
M. now we have the added layer of security and we need to do it in an instant.
1. tell me about a news item, you have been following closely these days.
M: this aam admi party issue.
1. anything else?
started talking about cricket
2. so ok. sachin has retired. what are the prospects of his retirement and its effect on indian team?
M. talked about sachin's role in indian cricket and the rise of next gen
2. i was thinking more about the historical context of his career. you know 1991 liberalization and his ascent.
M. well yes, his rise coincided with the liberalization and more people started watching his game because of TV and other things.
1. So any piece of legislation you might have come across in the last 6-7 years that you think has been implemented well
M. its hard to think of a legislation that has been implemented well
1. why is that?
M. i can think of legislations that have not been implmented well.
1. lets take examples
M. talked about food security bill and its impact
1. do u know what the malnutrition rate is in india?
M. its more than 30 percent
1. its much more than 30 percent.
2. so why should we not provide food to these people.
M. we need to address the basic issues first.
2. what is more basic than food yaar?
M. food being rotten in godowns, supply chain loss, middle man etc etc
1. started talking abt case study
M. explained my stand
1. ok so you said about aam admi party. do you know about the LS candidates that AAP has rolled out ?
M. i am not aware of the candidates list.
1. so do you know about medha patekar.
M. yes i have.
1. in what context?
M. in that narmada bachao andolan
1. ok so what is the broader context in these movements?
M. its about sustainable development. india is in dire need of development but we can't do that while exhausting our resources. we have to preserve them. so that 10 years, 20 years down the line, we still have our resources with their quality intact
1. we are done here. Please take a toffee.
M. (picks one toffee)
Verdict: reject
