[2012-2014] SIBM Pune Final Results and Related Discussions

@shourya and @santana

I have a doubt regarding the joining date. It says 5th June but there is possibility that my final semester exam may not get over by then.
What can I do in such a case? I am definitely joining SIBM. no doubt on that but will my admission be cancelled if I am unable to report by 5th June?

PS exams get over max by 10th June

If you cant join on the specified date... you need to communicate that to the admin, registrar and director regarding the same...

I will take my example... my session started on 7th June but I joined on 15th June due to my final semester... i had mailed all concerned authorities before-hand regarding my situation..

Cheers!!
Hello :)
First of all , guys who have not got selected , please do not lose hope . There are better things waiting for you in life. I know how hurting it will be as i have gone through everything last year. So, don't get mocked down .Everything happens for a reason.

This question is for the seniors.

I have been selected and looking forward to join SIBM P.
the first installment (375000) has to be paid before March 7th , i am planning to take loan from any. Does SIBM-P has any tie ups with banks?? How is it possible to pay such a huge amount within march 7th , as the bank process for loan itself takes more than 3 weeks. Can you throw some light on the free induction course fee? 30000rs is inclusive of this 375000 or apart from 375000 , i have to pay 30000???

Thanks in advance .

Visit your nearest SBI branch and talk to the branch manager...
Mention the "Scholar's Loan" scheme where SIBM Pune is listed as one of the institutes to which SBI facilitates loans for...
That will ensure a speedy transaction process...

Cheers!!

Yes you can TRY and check your score in a few days...
Check in with the admin at +020 39116010....
but wait for a few weeks as they might be bogged down with admission procedures for the selected lot...
Dont know whether they will tend to your request but whats the harm in trying...

does a work exp of more than 10 mnths help @SIBM???
any priorities as far as laterals are concerned??

Laterals are generally considered at around 22-24 months of work ex...
For placement purposes.... 10 months is effectively a fresher...

Decent score :99.5
Good A/V
Good GD
Horrendous PI

Ideal Result: Waitlisted 28

Looking forward to converting...

Hi shourya,
Could you tell me the exact no of months required for laterals. I have 21 mnths exp as of now. Need to resign accordingly.

That actually depends on the placement team and how they want to quantify it..
It may or may not vary according to their and co. specific directions...

Currently many co.s look at 24months as minimum requirements for laterals... and some look at 20 also..... so it is a bit dicey for me to comment specifically...

Just to be on the safe side.. acquire AS MANY MONTHS as you can :)

Cheers!!

@Shoruya, @Satana from last year's thread I can see that the first WL was of 64 and then Rejected candidates were called.

I'm presently at WL 80, Open Category. Can you, or anyone else for that matter, shed some light that wat are my chances. I want to know as I will accordingly plan my finances. Dont want the mone to be locked in some other insti!!

If we go by last year's trend... then yes there is a chance for a convert my friend.... I think last year the last person to get converted was somewhere around your waitlist no.
But for that to be revealed you need to be patient till atleast mid may...
only then will things start to unravel themselves for your benefit...
So you see nothing can be said definitively....

All the best!!
Cheers!!

Any chances at wl 95??

Thnx Sir Ji!!

just to tell people who are wait listed..
last year my name was not there in the 1st .
ultimately my name came in 2nd waiting list...
and there was one more waiting list after that..
so people wait listed till 80 i guess should be sure shot and till have a decent enough chance..
this is just a personnel opinion..

Last year there was NO 2nd waitlist....
what happened was.... after the 1st waitlist of 60 odd got exhausted... ppl were called on personally according to composite scores...
So individuals received call letters as and when the seats fell empty...
This went uptil may end wherein around 84 odd ppl in TOTAL (60 1st list and around 24 after that) had been given the final convert call...

Hope this is of some use...

@ shouryasen the undertaking to be filled has one point as:

As I am working in Company / PSU/ Government organization I will complete necessary formalities regarding resignation before I join the programme and I will bring NOC in case of Government organization or PSUs and in case of private organizations resignation acceptance letter from previous employer. Students working in Government organizations/ PSUs will be allowed to pay fees provided they submit a copy of application submitted to the HR Department of respective organizations for relieve from services. They will be allowed to join course by submitting NOC from their Head Office.

I am working with a PSU. I have the following queries:
1. Is it necessary to resign ? What if I get educational leave for two years?

2. Regarding submitting of the copy of the application to HR dept. before fee payment, do we have to send the copy by mail or post and to whom?
