Yale School of Management Admissions

Yale School of Management offers admissions to international students across three academic intakes: fall, winter, and summer. The school provides seven master’s programs, a PhD program, an executive degree, over five joint degree options, and several certificate and scholar courses. Although the overall acceptance rate is not publicly disclosed, it is estimated to be around 25%.

For the MBA class of 2023, 349 students were enrolled, with 33% being international students representing 40 different countries. In addition to meeting academic requirements, international applicants must provide proof of financial support, English language proficiency, and visa confirmation. On average, admitted students have about 4.4 years of professional experience.

Application Fee: Fees vary depending on the program and range from 160 to 250 USD (approximately 12,400–19,400 INR). The standard fee for the MBA program is 250 USD (around 19,400 INR).

MBA Eligibility Criteria: There is no specific minimum score required for MBA admissions. The average GMAT score for admitted students typically falls between 690 and 760, with an average GPA of 3.6 out of 4.0 (90%). The school also accepts GRE scores in place of the GMAT.

Required Documents: Applicants must submit all previous academic transcripts, a resume, two letters of recommendation, an essay, a statement of purpose, and a behavioral assessment. Yale SOM also requires candidates to respond to questions about their personal background.

Master of Business Administration [M.B.A]

Yale School of Management PhD Admissions

Yale SOM offers PhD programs in fields such as Accounting, Financial Economics, Marketing, Operations, and Organizations and Management. Admission to these programs is managed through the Yale Graduate School, with applications accepted only once per year. The application deadline is December 15 for the desired year of entry. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply.
