Q. When do the admissions happen at UPES?
Ans. For Degree Programs, there are two admission sessions in a year – Jan and July. Admission will be granted only to those candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria.
Q. What are some reasons that may lead to the rejection of the application?
Ans. Applications shall be rejected without assigning any reasons for the following reasons:
- Incomplete application form.
- Incomplete documents as required for the respective programs to prove eligibility.
- Not completing the application process within the stipulated time.
- Non-payment of requisite semester fees within the stipulated time.
Q. Is there any provision to pursue more than one course at a time?
Ans. As per regulations, a student cannot pursue two-degree programs simultaneously. However, one can pursue short term programs along with their degree program.
Q. Any support or process of attending Pre-Admission Counseling?
Ans. All students who apply or show interest in any of our programs are given detailed counseling in person or on phone by our Academic Counsellors. Also, a live webinar is conducted by the faculty of the respective program where a student can ask their queries and seek any clarification about the program.
Q. Can we reach faculty members other than weekend live classes?
Ans. Yes, one can book a time slot with the respective faculty member by raising a ticket in the Help Desk or requesting the program manager. Faculty members can be reached every day except Mondays.
Q. How to collect degrees and mark sheets if unable to attend the Convocation?
Ans. Students can collect their degree and mark sheet from the university campus or any of the designated University offices in person or through an authorized person with a signed copy of authorization in the prescribed format.
Q. When are the results declared after the exams?
Ans. Results are mainly declared within 6 weeks after the examination.
Q. Is there any stipulated time to complete the programs?
Ans. As per guidelines, there are min and max period to compete each program
- Min period to complete an UnderGraduate program is 3 years and max 5 years
- Min period to complete a Post Graduate program is 2 years and max 4 years
Q. Is the University approved by DEB-UGC for it’s Distance Education Programs?
Ans. The University has been approved by the Distance Education Bureau of UGC for its Distance Education Degree Programs.
Q. What is a Credit System?
Ans. The ‘Credit System’ is followed for all courses offered through distance education mode. The credit system is a systematic way of describing an educational program by allotting a specific time to a particular subject. Each credit amounts to 30 hours of learning activities i.e., reading and comprehending the printed study material, attending counseling sessions, preparing assignments, etc.
