UPES Dehradun Admission 2025
AT 2025 registration is now open at xatonline.in for admission to MBA/PGDM programs. The last date to register is November 30, 2024. Candidates can download their XAT admit cards starting December 20, 2024, with the exam scheduled for January 5, 2025.
The CAT 2024 exam has concluded, and the provisional answer keys will be released on December 3, 2024. Candidates can raise objections to the answer key through the Objection Management link on the CAT website (https://iimcat.ac.in). The objection window will remain open from December 3 to December 5, 2024.
Registrations for the RET (Research Entrance Test) for PhD admissions at UPES Dehradun are open. The last date to apply is December 3, 2024, and the exam is scheduled for December 10, 2024.
UPESMET registrations for MBA admissions are open, with the last date to apply being January 21, 2025. The exam will be conducted from January 23 to 25, 2025.
The 2024-25 UPES placements are underway. So far, the highest package offered is INR 18 LPA for B.Tech and INR 20 LPA for MBA.
Registrations for UPESDAT (Design Aptitude Test) for B.Des admissions are open. The last date to apply is January 21, 2025, with the exam scheduled for January 23 to 25, 2025.
Admissions for UPES in 2025 are currently in progress. The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) provides full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs. Admission at UPES Dehradun is categorised into Examination and Non-Examination pathways. How to Apply for UPES Courses: Online Application To apply for UG and PG courses offered by UPES, students can conveniently fill out the application form online by following the steps outlined below:
- Visit the official website of UPES and navigate to the ‘UPES Admission’ section in the menu bar.
- From the drop-down menu, select ‘Online Application Form’.
- Choose your residency status, whether you are an Indian Resident or a Foreign Resident.
- Fill in the required details in the application form and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
- Upon form submission, you will receive an email from UPES prompting you to verify your email address and create an account on the UPES website.

UPES Dehradun B.Tech Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for B.Tech admission at UPES Dehradun, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A minimum of 50% marks in both class 10 and 10+2 examinations.
- At least 50% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects at the 10+2 level.
For admission through the Non-examination pathway, the eligibility criteria are as follows:
- 50% marks in 10+2 and in PCM subjects for board merit.
- 50% marks in 10+2 and in PCM subjects for JEE Main merit.
The merit for JEE Main will be announced on the UPES website after the declaration of the JEE Main Result. The centralised counseling for admission will be conducted based on the Merit Ranking derived from the JEE Main result.
UPES Dehradun Admission Criteria for B.Tech Selection:
The selection for B.Tech admission at UPES is based on two pathways:
- Examination Pathway: Admission through UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT).

UPES B.Sc and M.Sc Admission 2025
The university offers a 2-year M.Sc program at the postgraduate level and 3-year B.Sc and B.Sc (Hons) programs at the undergraduate level. To be eligible for the postgraduate program, candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in B.Sc and 50% marks in 10th & 12th (PCMB). For the undergraduate programs, the eligibility criteria are 50% marks in class 10th & 12th and 50% marks in PCM / PCB.

UPES 2025 Registration Process
To apply for the UG and PG courses offered by UPES, students can conveniently fill out the application form online. Here are the steps to follow:
- Visit the official website of UPES and locate the ‘UPES Admission’ tab on the menu bar.
- Click on ‘Online Application Form’ from the drop-down menu.
- Select your status as either an Indian Resident or a Foreign Resident.
- Provide the requested details in the application form and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
- After submitting the form, you will receive an email from UPES containing instructions to verify your email address and create an account on the UPES website.
- Log in to the website using your account credentials and complete the remaining sections of the application form.
- Once you have filled in all the required information, submit the application form.
- Proceed to pay the application fee of INR 1350 using a Credit/Debit Card or through Net-Banking.
- It is recommended to save a copy of the duly filled application form for future reference.
