Calcutta University Courses and Fees Structure
Calcutta University is regarded as one of the best universities in India. University of Calcutta courses are offered on a large scale, starting from undergraduate (on affiliated colleges) to postgraduate and extended to doctorate level courses.
The university also provides Diploma courses and certificate courses with various subjects combination. On the postgraduate level, the University of Calcutta provides various course choices. M.A. can be taken with specialization of History, Islamic History, Hindi, French, Sociology, Urdu, Arabic and Persian, Bengali Language and Literature, Buddhist Studies, Sanskrit, Political Science, Pali etc. M.Com course offers specialization of any Commerce streams’ subject, and M.B.A. course is also present there in Calcutta University.
M.Sc course offered with subjects like Anthropology, Chemistry, Electronic Science, Genetics, Statistics, Pure Mathematics, Marine Science, Psychology, Botany.
All the above-mentioned course has a duration of two years. Calcutta University courses offered on postgraduate level include M.Tech course which holds a duration of two years. M.Tech can be taken in the specialization of Applied Optics and Photonics, Polymer Science and Technology, Radio Physics and Electronics, Jute and Fiber Technology, Chemical Technology, Instrumentation Engineering and Applied Physics.
PhD courses are offered for three years and can be taken with specialization of Education, Journalism and Mass Communication, Anthropology, Psychology, Botany, Political Science, Pali, Food and Nutrition, Home Science etc. An M.Phil (two years) course can be done at the Calcutta University with subjects combination like Bengali, Education, Economics, Philosophy, Library and Information Science, English, Hindi etc.
