The PhD eligibility criteria for admission to the Oriental Institute of Management are as follows:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have a Master’s degree in any Management Discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognized university. Chartered Accountants with an aggregate of 55% marks are also eligible.

Entrance Test Qualification:

  • Applicants must have cleared one of the following entrance tests:
      • National Eligibility Test (NET)
      • State Eligibility Test (Maharashtra)
    • PhD Entrance Test (PET) conducted by Mumbai University.

Exemption:

  • Candidates holding an M.Phil degree from a recognized university in India, following UGC guidelines, are exempt from the Entrance Test.
