Minimum Eligibility
A Graduate Degree from a recognized University with not less than 50% marks

Apart from high test score, TAPMI considers the overall profile of candidates. For example, academic profile (10th, 12th, Graduation marks), work experience, extra- curricular achievements, achievements in sports, contribution to social activities, entrepreneurial spirit, diversity, leadership potential, integrity and values. The entrance examination cut- off may vary slightly each year across programs, depending upon the profile of applicants and the suitability of the profile to specific program(s).

Stage II: Admission Process (GD-PI)
The stage II of TAPMI admission process consists of Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT), and Personal Interview (PI).

Admission Process – NRI / NRI Sponsored Eligibility Criteria

Person of Indian Origin (PIO)
Shall mean the persons who are citizens of other countries (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who at any time held an Indian passport, or who or either of his/her parents or any of his/her grandparents was a citizen of India by virtue of the provisions of the Constitution of India or Sec2(b) of Citizenship Act 1955.
Foreign Nationals
Shall mean the citizens of all countries other than India, who are not of Indian origin as defined under PIO.

In March 2018, TAPMI strengthened its ties with Rennes School of Business by signing a new MOU during the Knowledge Summit in Delhi, a prestigious event highlighting the collaboration between France and India in higher education and research. Global Association for Risk Professionals (GARP)
TAPMI’s MBA-BKFS program has become an academic partner with GARP, positioning TAPMI as the only Indian B-School to achieve this distinction. Support for International Collaboration in Research & Teaching

TAPMI’s Ph.D. program in Management is designed to advance management education in India through innovative and pioneering research. TAPMI is part of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), and the doctoral degree is awarded by MAHE upon successful completion of the program. This program is suited for candidates committed to rigorous academic research and aims to make significant contributions to management knowledge.
Program Duration and Coursework
The full-time Ph.D. program typically takes at least four years to complete. The first year is dedicated to rigorous coursework, including courses in Research Methodology, Research and Publication Ethics, Quantitative Research Methods, Pedagogical Issues in Teaching, Research Proposal Writing, and area-specific subjects.
Proposal Defense
After completing coursework, students prepare a comprehensive research proposal in collaboration with their guide(s) and committee members. The proposal must be successfully defended before a specially appointed committee, allowing the student to proceed with their research and thesis work.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Ph.D. program, candidates must have:
- An aggregate of 60% or equivalent grade in a Master’s degree (1-2 years) from a recognized institution or university.
- Alternatively, an aggregate of 75% or equivalent grade in a 4-year Bachelor’s degree program from a recognized institution.
Note: Applicants holding only a Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for the full-time Ph.D. category.
