was formerly known as Symbiosis Society’s Law School. The school is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. It was established as an educational & cultural center of international standards by Dr. S. B. Mujumdar (President & Founder Director) in the year 1971.
- Symbiosis Law School was founded in June 1977
- Earlier the school was affiliated to University of Pune and in 2002 the school became a constituent of Symbiosis International University
- The school is accredited ‘A’ Grade by NAAC (UGC)
- Symbiosis Law School is approved by Bar Council of India
- This 36 years old school achieved various high points in teaching, learning and research
- The school receives GOLD AWARD from the Bar Council of India in 2013

Research and projects:
A research project on Community Lawyering and Legal Aid has been implemented in collaboration with Community Legal Resource Network (CLRN), City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law, USA. Some of the projects of this college includes
- A Project on prisioner’s rights has been implemented to provide legal aid to prisoners and access to the justice
- A Project on ‘Rights of Foreign National Prisoners in India’ was conducted
- Project on ‘Centre State Relations’ referred by Ministry of Home Affairs, Inter-State Council Secretariat, new Delhi, 2009 – Completed
- Research Project on ‘A Crusade against Sexual harassment of women at work place’ based on Guidelines issued by Supreme Court in Vishakha Vs State of Rajasthan
Co-curricular Activities:
There are various co-curricular activities that are held in the college
- Human Right Cell(HRC)-
HRC is the Students organization of the school with a strength of about 80 students with a aim to create awareness on rights of individual
- Legal Aid and Literacy Cell-
This is the cell of the college with the aim to promote social justice and raise the confidence of underprivileged
- Environment Protection and Consumer Rights Organization-
It is an initiative of the students of the symbiosis law school. The aim of this organization is to make the earth greener and to make the market a safer place
Festivals:
Symbhav-14:
It is the cultural fest of the college. It is a three day long legal and cultural battle. Throughout the three days there were various celebritites who graced the festival like Ms. Aditi Paul, Mr. Johnny Lever. The festival was a superhit.
