Sri Sai Ram Engineering College Admission Process
Admissions to the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level courses are done as per the norms or guidelines of Tamilnadu Government and Anna University. Further, Anna University conducts separate entrance examination to offer admission in the Postgraduate level M.Sc or M.Phil or MCA or MBA courses.
SSEC Chennai Admissions Highlights
- Sri Sairam Engineering College admission to the undergraduate level BE and B.Tech is conducted through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission or TNEA process, which also involves choice locking and final seat allotment process. All applicants need to pass their HSC or senior secondary examination with Physics and Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along Biology from any recognised board to be eligible to apply for the course.
- For admission to the postgraduate level, M.E courses candidates are shortlisted based on marks obtained in Anna University Common Entrance Test or TANCET. Such candidates who do not appear in TANCET can apply with GATE scores. Seat allocation is done followed by Tamil Nadu Common Admission or TANCA counselling process. All candidates should have a B.E or B.Tech degrees in a relevant stream with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from any recognised university or institute to apply for the course.
- For Doctoral level PhD courses, admission is taken on the basis of University-based examination followed by an interview round. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in a relevant stream from any recognised board or University. Or, candidates having UGC NET or CSIR NET or SLET or JRF Teaching Fellowship holders are also eligible to apply for the course.
