RCOEM Nagpur Admission 2023:

Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM) founded in 1984, is an active member and part of ‘Study in India’ initiative of MHRD, Government of India.

With a Ph.D. qualified faculty of 134, RCOEM has received a ranking of #23 by India Today and #27 by Outlook 2019 in the All India Private Engineering Colleges category. NIRF 2019 also ranks RCOEM at #112

It is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) and follows admissions guidelines set by the University and State CET Cell.

Admissions are offered in B.E, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, and Ph.D. degree programs. Applications for admissions for B.E, M.Tech, MBA and MCA are accepted through State CET Cell. While admission applications for Ph.D. are accepted through RTMNU.

To be eligible for admissions, students must be citizens of India and there is a 5% relaxation for backward class students from Maharashtra/India on the whole and persons with disability. Also, students must have a relevant degree from UGC/AIU recognized universities.

B.E admissions are offered on the basis of JEE Mains or MHT-CET. Students must also have at least 50% in either HSSC (PCM) or Diploma or equivalent from a recognized board. All eligible students can appear for both the entrances other than students from Maharashtra, who can appear only for MHT-CET.

For M.Tech admissions, students are eligible only if they qualify GATE and have a degree in Engineering and Technology with a relevant discipline from an AICTE/Central/State Government approved universities.

MBA admissions can be offered based on MAH-CET or CMAT or CAT. Also, the students will be eligible if they have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

MCA admissions are also offered on the basis of entrance, MAH-MCA-CET. Along with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, but with Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 or at the graduation level of examination.

For Ph.D. admissions, students will be considered eligible only if they qualify either MU-PET/GATE/SET/UGC-NET/JRF. If students are UGC-NET qualified then they are exempted from appearing for MU-PET. Applicants must have a master’s degree in a relevant discipline.

In total, 1368 students have been placed for 2021 on-campus placements. Around 20 LPA was the highest package, while 8 students were offered the second-highest package of 19.5 LPA. The average package was recorded at 5 LPA.

Applications for B.E admissions are accepted through State CET Cell, while admissions are offered through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) based on the guidelines set by the Competent Authority of Maharashtra Government.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for B.E admissions an aspiring candidate should be an Indian Citizen and must fulfill the following given criteria:

Passed HSSC or it’s equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology.
The applicant must have obtained at least 50% aggregate (45% for backward classes/persons with disability for those belonging to Maharashtra only). OR
Passed a Diploma course in Engineering & Technology with 50% aggregate (45% for backward classes/persons with disability for those belonging to Maharashtra only).OR
Passed B.Sc. from a recognized University as defined by UGC and obtained at least 50% aggregate (45% for backward classes/persons with disability for those belonging to Maharashtra only).

Admission Process

Students for Maharashtra can appear for MHT-CET only, while students from other states can appear for either MHT-CET or JEE Mains.

JEE Mains Application Submission Requirements

The application fee for taking this exam varies with the type of candidature. The application fee for the general category is INR 325. The following section throws light on the requirements and the process of registration for JEE Mains.

Documents Required

Scanned and recent photograph coloured or black/white (but clear contrast) JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
Scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.
Application forms with unclear photographs will be rejected.

How to Register?

Visit the official website of JEE Main and click on “Fill Online Application Form”.
Register by giving your personal details, to generate a user id and password.
The application number will be generated after submitting the details for registration.
The form requires personal details, address, and mobile number.
You can set your security question and password to access the application for the future.
Submit the application form by logging in with the same user id and password that you had set.

Requirements for MHT-CET

To apply MHT-CET candidates can follow the steps:

Log on to the official website and find the link on the left MHT-CET.
Click for new registration.
Set up your email id and password after receiving an OTP on the registered mobile number.
Fill in the required details and then submit them to generate the application form.
You will be redirected to an acknowledgments page, click the checkbox to begin filling your application.
After filling relevant and authentic information, re-read the application and submit by uploading the photograph along with the fee.
You will get a confirmation on your registered email id.
Keep a print out of both the application and the fee receipt for future reference

RCOEM M.Tech Admissions 2023

Admissions to the M.Tech program are offered through the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. To know about the prerequisites for admissions, the details have been given below:

Eligibility Criteria

The students applying for M.Tech admissions are eligible only if:

They are Indian nationals.
Must have a degree in Engineering and Technology from AICTE/Central/State Government approved institutions with 50% aggregate (45% for backward classes/persons with disability belonging to Indian state).
Qualified GATE. OR
For sponsored students, a minimum of 2 years of full-time employment experience is mandatory to be proved.

Admission Process

Students in the final year can apply for admissions on the condition that they are able to submit their final scores before the CET cut-off list. Else admission may be offered to non-GATE qualified students on the decision of State CET Cell.

How to Apply for GATE?

The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id for GATE.

Final year students must submit Provisional Certificate Letter as per format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.
Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.
Caste Certificate/Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).
Candidates pursuing a higher degree or masters have to submit the qualifying degree certificate.

RCOEM MBA Admissions 2023

Students who wish to apply for admission to the MBA program must qualify MAH-MHT-CET entrance along with other criteria of eligibility, which has been elaborated upon in the following section:

Admission Process

Admission applications are accepted through RTMNU. The process for application submission is as follows:

Application forms shall be filled offline by downloading the pdf version available at the website.
Hard copy of the application is to be submitted by post.
Relevant documents and examination fees in the form of a DD must be attached along with the application form.
DD should be drawn in favour of “Registrar, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur”, payable at Nagpur.

How to Apply for RCOEM?

The students, willing to apply for B.E/M.Tech/MBA/MCA can apply through CAP. The centralized admission process are as follows:

Notification by State CET Cell and publication of Information brochure.
Registration by candidates online on the CET Cell website.
Document verification and confirmation at facilitation Centre (FC)
Declaration of Merit List by State CET Cell
An option form to be filled by the candidate (For CAP round I)
Admission and seat allotment to candidate
Freeze/Float/slide to be chosen by the candidate
Reporting to the admission reporting center (ARC) for “Freeze” candidates or Option form filling for float/slide candidates for Next CAP Round
Reporting to the allotted institute with the required admission fees and official documents.

Note: CAP Quota: 29% of the sanctioned intake and; Minority Quota: 51% of the sanctioned intake is filled through CAP.

AND

The institute level admission quota is 20% of the sanctioned intake, admitted through the Institute level Admission Process.
