Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, also known as RGIPT is a government engineering Institution located at Jais, Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2008. 

The Institute mainly offers technical and management programs focusing on Petroleum Industry.  In order to secure admission to Undergraduate level B.Tech course, candidates need to appear in the JEE Advanced entrance examination conducted by the CBSE or Central Board of Secondary Education each year.

Thus, RGIPT cutoff is declared after JEE scores are released.  Students seeking admission to the Postgraduate level M.Tech program need to appear in the GATE entrance exam.

RGIPT cut off can vary from year to year based on various factors the difficulty level of the question paper, the average performance of the candidates appearing for the examination, the total number of candidates appearing for the examination, previous year cutoff trends, reservation policies in participating colleges, the total number of seats available for admission in the exam and the total number of applicants who have applied for the exam etc. RGIPT MBA cut off is declared after CAT exam scores are released for the year.
